"Being a part of an organization that values forward thinking is inspiring. My journey in Field Operations has taken me from Field Technician to corporate senior management, and presented unexpected opportunities to develop and launch new processes and procedures. Each move brought opportunities to learn different aspects of the industry and the business.

"Having an understanding of the technicians' day-to-day requirements has translated directly to my continuing professional growth and development. Today I am a Senior Director within our Field Operations Standards and Compliance group. I’m applying strategy to deliver advanced technology and enhance the customer experience."
Michael, Sr Director, Process Engineering

What is the Future Leaders program?
Spectrum employs over 95,000 people in 41 states and across multiple industries. The Field Operations Future Leaders rotational program is structured to create well-rounded, adaptable professionals who will finish the program ready and able to contribute to a wide range of projects, roles, and functional groups. They will learn how  teams collaborate across the business while developing relationships and gaining valuable insights. This means getting familiar with innovative technology, the industries, and Spectrum’s positioning within them.

Not only will program participants have opportunities to experience different roles, they may also get to see the country — all on Spectrum. Every location and team has its own culture and dynamic. Future Leaders may travel to multiple locations to observe the culture and differing leadership styles. Participants should finish the program with a broader understanding of Field Operations and able to make better-informed decisions about their future careers.

Who are you?
You're intrepid and enthusiastic to try something new. With diverse interests, abilities, and developing expertise, you’re ready to get in on the action and start making a difference. But with thousands of roles to consider, you may be asking yourself which is right for you. The Future Leaders program creates a pipeline to key leadership roles and can help you get real-world experience before deciding which course to pursue. Learn about our industry and business structure while taking on leadership roles to solve real-world business problems. The insights and experience you gain here can set you up for a long and rewarding career with Spectrum.

Your path to success

Increase your understanding of Spectrum’s interconnected structure in the grand scale and in the granular. Gain practical analysis and research methodology expertise. Learn to be a leader. See how the many moving pieces in Field Operations fit together to support our customers and the company.

Your immersive learning begins with a 12-week boot camp to build your fundamental understanding of Field Operations, including Technician training, Construction, Installation/Repair, Regional Support Centers (Dispatch), Maintenance, and the Regional Operations Centers. Then you will have a number of rotations within Field Operations as well as Customer Operations, leading various projects and teams and collaborating with business leaders. Your assigned mentor will help you navigate the organization and become a successful leader. The program can be customized based on your particular skills set, making it as valuable an experience for you as you will be for Spectrum. Once you’ve successfully completed the program, you’ll have the experience to pursue a broad range of roles across the company. Utilize the knowledge and skills gained to get on the path to success.

Over the course of two (2) years, you’ll experience Field Operations, Business Planning, and Project Management, and participate in Leadership Development training — from as many as three (3) locations around the country. In addition to seeing the country — with relocation expenses covered by Spectrum — this could be an unmatched journey of self-discovery. Enjoy networking and mentoring opportunities. Discover which of your talents and passions bring you the most personal and professional fulfillment. As a full-time Spectrum employee you’ll also have access to comprehensive health care benefits, retirement savings plans, free and discounted company products and services where available, and more.
