"Being a part of an organization that values forward thinking is inspiring. My journey in Field Operations has taken me from Field Technician, installing cutting-edge technology, to Field Supervisor and Manager, where I had the opportunity to instill my passion in the next generation of technicians.
My work in the field raised me to corporate senior management and presented unexpected opportunities – developing and launching processes and procedures and incorporating new strategies – because I had a thorough understanding of the technicians' day-to-day requirements and perspective. It directly translated to my continuing professional growth and development.
Each move brought opportunities to learn about different aspects of the industry and the business. Today I am a Senior Director within our Field Operations Standards and Compliance group. I’m applying strategy to deliver advanced technology and enhance the customer experience. It is exciting to be a part of Spectrum’s continued success." – Michael, Sr Director, Process Engineering
What is the Future Leaders program?
Spectrum employs over 95,000 people in 41 states and across multiple industries. The Field Operations Future Leaders rotational program is structured to create well-rounded, adaptable professionals who will finish the program ready and able to contribute to a wide range of projects, roles, and functional groups. They will learn how teams collaborate across the business while developing relationships and gaining valuable insights. This means getting familiar with innovative technology, the industries, and Spectrum’s positioning within them.
Not only will program participants have opportunities to experience different roles, they may also get to see the country — all on Spectrum. Every location and team has its own culture and dynamic. Future Leaders may travel to multiple locations to observe the culture and differing leadership styles. Participants should finish the program with a broader understanding of Field Operations and able to make better-informed decisions about their future careers.
