The Highlights
The Strategic Account Executive is a field sales position within the business-to-business sales team. In this role, you will sell voice, data, cloud- and video, including dedicated fiber-based services, point-to-point Ethernet connections, Internet access, WiFi and managed services to new and existing clients. You will focus on establishing long-term relationships in the large enterprise space.
What you will do
  • Grow key business-to-business relationships within the territory to support their fast-growing business
  • Develop client-centric solutions for complex services
  • Consistently achieve monthly sales and revenue quotas
  • Travel to client sites to manage field sales activities
  • Identify target markets, industries and contacts for product portfolio
  • Build network through referrals, prospecting calls and peers
  • Create and deliver proposals on product features and benefits
  • Negotiate contracts and conversations with C-level executives
  • Provide project management of sales cycle activities and service implementation
  • Report and forecast sales activity, including funnels and sales calls
  • Attend sales meetings and training sessions
  • Carry out other duties as needed
Required keys for success
  • Four or more years of experience with executive sales and master service agreements
  • Proven record as top sales performer and closer, exceeding revenue quota
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Visio
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, ICOMS/CSG or other billing systems
  • Skills to quickly conduct cost analysis and provide recommendations
  • Aptitude to participate as a collaborative team member
  • Ability to multitask and manage change
  • Effective communication skills
How you will stand out from the crowd
  • Industry experience in business-to-business and telephony sales
  • Experience with network security and firewalls and TCP/IP networking
  • Understanding of network facilities to support corporate telephony
  • Familiarity with product suite, business software, hardware and intranet
  • Knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure
  • Positive attitude with strong presentation skills
  • Confidence in communicating technical information to high-level clients
  • Deadline-driven nature in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Motivation from commission-based model
  • Coachable disposition, with entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work independently
Your education
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Bachelor's degree in business-related field (preferred)
