Highlights:

The Sr. Product Marketing Manager works cross-functionally to lead the market planning efforts and oversee the execution of the marketing plan for Voice Connectivity and Unified Communications. This individual will drive the go-to-market initiatives for new product launches, own the product messaging, engage sellers and look for opportunities to help the product evolve and grow in the market. This position will also be the product subject matter expert to the marketing organization and the primary marketing liaison to the product management teams. Products include managed cloud-based voice services, collaboration, hosted call center, SIP and PRI trunking and other related services that enable organizations to connect and collaborate seamlessly.

What you will do:
  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the client experience
  • Responsible for the development of the product marketing plan and influencing its execution by working cross-functionally with internal partners. This will necessitate an understanding of both buyer requirements and seller needs and translating these drivers into an overarching marketing strategy
  • Maintain and evolve product positioning, value propositions and messaging framework of the assigned product area and provide resources to internal teams and agencies that enables effective communications
  • Identify the buyer journey and drive the execution of activities that help move prospects through the process of discovery to purchase
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for internal marketing resources on the product, marketplace, target audience and product buyer persona
  • Lead product launch planning for marketing teams and manage product roadmap support activities to ensure timely and effective launches
  • Own the selling story for your product and ensure that is captured in product brochures, product factsheets, collateral, marketing materials, whitepapers, web site content and client case studies
  • Contribute to development and maintenance of effective sales training and product announcements
  • Work with product, sales and offer teams to discover or evaluate new opportunities for market incentives
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of marketplace dynamics to help shape product, marketing and sales for success and present findings to ensure partners remain up to date
  • Work with analyst relations team, product management and industry analysts to promote products and develop positive perception in the influencer community
  • Interface with other functional areas to include: product management, offer management, sales management, operations, marketing communications, finance and vertical marketing teams
  • Perform additional duties related to this position as assigned
Required keys for success:
  • Eight years of marketing experience
  • Knowledge of voice, collaboration or data communication products or services and technologies preferred
  • Knowledge of product marketing, product management and selling principles
  • Ability to design marketing strategies and effective execution of marketing plans
  • Ability to think strategically while addressing tactical issues
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at one time and both prioritize and organize effectively
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner
  • Ability to work well with people from all levels of the organization, many different disciplines and varying degrees of technical and business experience
  • Ability to work independently and make recommendations and decisions autonomously
  • Ability to manage and foster change and make decisions while under deadlines
  • Ability to conduct formal presentations to all levels of management on issues or findings in assigned areas or subjects
  • Highly developed capacity for teamwork and a strong focus on the client
  • Penchant to work with a sense of urgency
  • Strong proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint; proficient in other desktop applications
Your education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of training, educaiton and experience (required)
  • Master's in Business Administration or a Master's Degree in a related field (preferred)
