This is a website content management position, responsible for the coordination of creative, technical, and strategic production of editorial content and supporting collateral. Manages the development of content that will resonate with, motivate and entertain users. Monitors, measures, and assesses content performance. Manages staff involved in developing digital content. This is a External Communications role that requires extensive content creation and editorial website management experience.

Manages, writes, and edits content for website and team-owned social platforms.

Liaises with various creative and technical stakeholders to optimize text and video content for social syndication.

Manages communications social media platforms for organic and paid campaigns.

Develops creative and compelling content packaging ideas.

Responsible for inputting and formatting content into the content management system, adhering to AP Style.

Ensures the website provides up-to-date and comprehensive information that is easily available to existing and potential users.

Helps craft content marketing vehicles (newsletters, emails, social media posts).

Analyzes and reports website and digital content usage data. Measures usability and effectiveness to inform editorial decisions.

Determines appropriate layout, positioning, and flow of digital content.

Works with web developers to improve and optimize website design, digital content, and performance for optimal user experience.

Establishes and maintains content that is well organized, user friendly, and presents a consistent corporate look and feel.

Ensures all creative work adheres to Charter’s standards and builds the brand.

Responsible for hiring, performance appraisals, and pay reviews.

Performs other duties as requested by supervisor.

Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Knowledge of WordPress, Drupal and other content management systems
Excellent writer with command of AP Style
Ability to present a portfolio of three to five pieces of published content.
Knowledge of Google Analytics and other reporting tools
Knowledge of current and emerging social media platforms for organic and paid campaigns
Ability to create compelling copy and professional website pages
Excellent organizational and problem solving skills and thorough attention to detail
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at one time
Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
Ability to juggle long-range projects with more immediate needs
Ability to show judgment and initiative and to accomplish job duties
Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner
Ability to make decisions and resolve problems while working under pressure

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
