Senior Analyst - Market Intelligence

The Senior Analyst for Marketing Intelligence uses data collection, analysis and reporting toprovide clear and actionable insights for the Marketing Intelligence team.

In this role, you will work to maximize Charter's competitive performance and market share for both the Residential business and the SMB (small-to-medium sized business) segment.

Your rigorous discipline around intelligence gathering, verification of syndicated data, and analysis and reporting, will allow Marketing Intelligence to act as the Company’s subject matter experts for local market dynamics of all competitors in each of the communities we serve.

Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience

Perform analysis and reporting to assess competition’s impact on the business, identify opportunities, and evaluate key business performance indicators and business initiatives

Work closely with managers in the collection and processing of competitive data

Work collaboratively with colleagues in corporate marketing and peers in the other regions

Leverage a variety of tools including Micro-Strategy and Tableau

Develop impactful reporting and data-driven presentations.

Identify trends and fact-based, actionable insights; clearly articulate findings in written reports using charts, graphs, tables and other exhibits

Create detailed maps for reporting and competitor research; Develop and document new processes with regional peers as needed.

Troubleshoot existing Micro-Strategy and Tableau reports; assess accuracy, propose solutions and confirm corrections

Provide customer activity analyses and the impact competition may have on subscriber growth, migration trending, churn trending, etc.

Responsible for ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed

Provide support, including budget and monthly forecasting, invoice processing, and assistance with inventory management and logistics (e.g. rate cards, channel lineups, and other collateral)

Perform other duties as requested


Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Ability to analyze data and interpret information into actionable insights
  • Knowledge of database/reporting systems (SQL, Oracle, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Tableau or similar program
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to self-train and pick up new skills quickly
  • Proficient use of PC software applications (Access, advanced Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to present information in an understandable format
  • Knowledge of marketing research, data analysis and related functions
  • Work with and develop collaborative cross departmental relationships

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Analysis, Analytics, Business or related field or equivalent experience

Related Work Experience
3+ years Marketing Analysis or Business Analytics experience
