Manager, Wireless Relationships

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for building, managing and analyzing new and existing external network relationships in support of the Internet and Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) products. Under the direction of Senior Management, develop new contract relationships and perform financial modeling in support of those relationships. Conduct assessment and implement performance analysis on existing relationships, identify, proactively review and resolve potential conflicts.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES
Actively and consistently supports all programs that will simplify and enhance customer experience.

Identify prospective high value WiFi network access opportunities by studying national markets, their local players and business models.

Oversee the overall network access relationship with network owners.

Deep understanding of industry best practices in product development process specific to the wireless telecommunications space and translate appropriate steps for unique organization and market position.

Resolve issues between the project and other organizational units in a satisfactory manner, engaging management as necessary.

Create and develop new relationships with WiFi network owners, managers and aggregators.
Leads the analysis of market relevance and provides justification for new business relationships through financial modeling.

Garner support for new relationships through senior management; develops and implements strategic plans and objectives in alignment with corporate strategy.

Partner closely with Engineering, Operations, Product Business Development, Privacy and Security teams to work new deals through contracting.

Create and manage new internal projects in support of network integrations and efforts.

Establish and report on metrics in support of network relationships and analyzes each relationship to identify issues and opportunities.
Identify risk and take action to ensure network relationships are supported.

Build and manage strong working relationships across the Product, Engineering, Operations, Care, Legal and external vendor teams needed to build and operate successful network relationships

Able to manage high performing teams by leading, developing, training and providing effective coaching to attract and foster talent.

Perform other duties as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills /Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and feedback in a constructive way
Ability to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel
Ability to lead cross-functional teams
Extensive knowledge of Internet and WiFi technology and its application in the hospitality, entertainment, sporting venue, healthcare, and retail market segments
Experience in business development and relationship management
Foundational understanding of data networking and WiFi solutions
Knowledge of the impacts of Wi-Fi Technology on MVNO services
Extensive experience and knowledge of product development lifecycle management
Strong complex project management skills, demonstrating the ability to manage priorities, set and meet deadlines, and manage budgets for multiple simultaneous projects while maintaining accuracy and efficiency in deliverables
Strong financial/analytical skills as well as development of business plans, budgeting, and forecasting
Experience with pricing structures, rate plans, and other cost drivers is desired
A dynamic leader that can switch from very focused, tactical project management to future-thinking strategic decisions with ease
Ability to develop strong working relationships with peers and project members
Ability to conduct formal presentations to all levels of management

Education
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Engineering, IT/Computer Science
Master’s in Business or Technology preferred, but not required

Related Work Experience
Cable/telecommunications industry with data product management experience required
Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience required
3 years of relevant leadership experience required
3+ years Product Management or Development Experience
3 years related industry experience (Cable, Telecommunications, Software/Online Services)

Preferred Qualifications
Product management and/or product development experience
Project management
Prefer related experience in leadership, Product Management in the cable/telecommunications industry (B2B)
