This is a supervisory position responsible for providing analysis, research and advice on telecom regulatory issues. This position is expected to supervise other regulatory subject-matter experts in support of Charter’s business objectives. Prior experience with wireless and/or wireline state and federal legislation, regulations and reporting are essential.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
Review and provide comments on state and federal voice legislation and regulations, prior to and following enactment.
Manage compliance with state and federal telecom/VoIP regulations and legislation.
Experience with government voice subsidy programs (i.e., E-rate, RHC and CA Teleconnect Fund) reporting and compliance.
Manage the timely and accurate preparation/filing of voice regulatory compliance reports, including the performance of our reporting vendor(s).
Responsible for working with in-house counsel to acquire and comply with federal and state voice certifications.
Work effectively with internal stakeholders to provide timely and accurate regulatory and compliance guidance.
Performs and coordinate regulatory research and analysis.
Supervise regulatory subject-matter experts.
Performs other duties as requested by supervisor.

Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to maintain relationships with state utility commission staff
Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
Ability to efficiently use a personal computer and software applications (i.e., Microsoft Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Outlook)
Knowledge of federal, state telecom and VoIP regulations
Knowledge of wireline and/or wireless telecom products and services
Strong analytical skills
Demonstrated ability to perform research and synthesize for management
Bachelor's Degree in business, political science, or related field, or equivalent experience
Master’s Degree a plus
