The Highlights

The Senior Product Development Manager is responsible for coordinating the development of functional requirements to support product feature enhancements, implementation of product updates to deployed products and supporting life cycle maintenance activities for our enterprise voice services portfolio. To be successful in this role, you will need an in-depth understanding of our enterprise voice product offerings and the supporting network and systems platforms including Salesforce, CSG, ICOMS, Siebel CRM, Oracle OSM/BRM, CTS Nokia and other related systems and platforms.

What you will do

  • Engage cross-functionally with IT, Engineering, Operations and external vendors to define the technical and functional requirements to support product infrastructure, maintenance and feature enhancement initiatives
  • Interface with OSS/BSS, engineering and IT to assure that systems architecture and implementation satisfies the short- and long-term vision of product features and service delivery capabilities
  • Contribute to the development, review and maintenance of product functional specifications
  • Manage resources that develop user stories and test cases
  • Assist in the certification of new and replacement equipment associated with our enterprise voice product offerings
  • Provide feedback to Product Management and Development teams on the capabilities of network and operational systems and tools to support product requirements
  • Support product maintenance and incremental product enhancements
  • Assist in the certification of developed products prior to release
  • Provide requirements for voice infrastructure network and systems development initiatives

Required keys for success
  • Five or more years of telecommunications experience
  • Five or more years of experience successfully delivering/launching telecommunications products
  • Five or more years of experience writing technical systems requirements
  • Product development and/or system development experience
  • Ability to learn new technologies and assess value to business goal and strategy
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and independently
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems
  • Ability and eagerness to learn from a new environment and make an impact quickly
  • Ability to listen to multiple points of view and synthesize against goals for recommendations
  • Ability to show judgment and initiative and to accomplish job duties
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data and synthesize recommendations
  • Effective communication skills with all levels of management and company personnel
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good organizational and office management skills
  • Excellent cognitive and analytical skills
  • Strong business sense and sense of urgency to achieve business results

How you will stand out from the crowd
  • Five or more years of telecommunications experience with a successful ILEC/CLEC or telecommunications equipment manufacturer

Your education
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Project management certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum (preferred)
