Highlights:

As a Principal Research Analyst I, you serve as a subject matter expert in the design of innovative solutions based on research, data and testing. You lead complex user experience (UX) research, usability and A/B testing projects. You maximize projects by collaborating with Analytics, Design, clients and stakeholders. You work within an office environment collaborating with teams to support new and existing features across multiple applications. You report to the Senior Director of Experience Design for goals, guidance and assistance.

What you will do:
  • Encourage companywide success through active and consistent support of all efforts to simplify and enhance the client experience.
  • Enhance digital applications by using expert knowledge of user-centered design (UCD) process methods for digital applications from concept to launch.
  • Guide and test plan writing for future usability and A/B tests.
  • Support user and competitive research efforts by advocating the client experience within the organization.
  • Complete polished reports for internal clients and UX team to leverage.
  • Maximize efforts by compiling and sharing results in an easy-to-understand and impactful manner.
  • Communicate with internal clients about the research and usability testing processes and recommend the appropriate deliverables based on client needs.
  • Identify the best methodologies, tactics and tools to deliver high-quality results in a cost-effective way.
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative results to extract key insights and recommendations.
  • Improve the client experience by advocating the value and necessity of research and testing to the organization and clients.
  • Mitigate project risks by managing the scope, timeline and deliverables.
  • Manage agency and vendor relationships and efforts when services are outsourced to ensure deliverables.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and lead to the organization regarding how research and testing can be leveraged.
Required keys for success:
  • Nine or more years of analytical or related experience.
  • Demonstrated research and usability testing background via recent samples.
  • Understanding of user-centered design.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, Omniture, Tableau, Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics.
  • Passionate about the client and advocating what’s best for the client.
  • Articulate with the ability to serve as the voice of the client.
  • History of leading client meetings and creating and delivering presentations.
  • Project estimation experience.
  • Ability to create personas and client journey maps.
  • Track record of planning and facilitating user research and usability tests.
  • Experience leading highly complex research and testing projects.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills with all levels of an organization
Your education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in design, HCI or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience (required).
  • Master’s degree in a related field (preferred).
