The Highlights
Responsible for managing the design and development of learning solutions that support Sales, Sales Support, Customer Operations, Order Operations, Marketing, and Leadership training programs in addition to all product launches, process and tools training. Manage vendors and internal staff responsible for program design and development. Work with functional boundary partners to leverage existing materials, direct vendors, and develop programs to establish consistent Spectrum Enterprise learning solutions.

What You Will Do
  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience while collaborating with leadership team and business subject matter experts to design engaging learning that enhances business performance
  • Manage design and integration of Sales, Sales Support, Customer Operations, Order Operations, Marketing, and Leadership training programs into a comprehensive curriculum for each training function; ensure each course can be modularized and marketed to different employee groups as needed
  • Assess clients learning situation, expectations, resources, constraints, learning needs, learning gaps, and task in relation to the organizational mission and goals
  • Manage development of training programs based on business and performance objectives identified by stakeholders, project managers, clients, and subject matter experts
  • Manage and direct design and development work of vendors
  • Prioritize workload of curriculum development staff
  • Mentor and coach curriculum development staff
  • Lead the development of innovative programs that increase customer satisfaction and generate revenue
  • Work with clients to secure approval of new and updated curriculum
  • Manage team escalations and partner with clients to drive resolution
  • Act as an instructional design subject matter expert
  • Partner with functional training managers, supervisors, and points of contact to establish train-the-trainer delivery and certification
  • Manage integration of content, such as product training, across training functions
  • Research and analyze training options, delivery methods and techniques
  • Create and implement evaluation plans to demonstrate business impact of all training initiatives
  • Maintain current knowledge of latest industry standards, tools, and processes
  • Keep abreast of current learning and performance strategies, delivery methods, and techniques
  • Plan and manage all instructional design projects
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and conduct training needs assessments
  • Provide effective implementation of instructional products and programs
  • Manage implementation of ROI forecasting and impact studies of training initiatives
  • Manage external resources to maximize cost effectiveness and quality
  • Manage Curriculum training budget and staff
  • Design and develop high-quality learning content to meet the needs of the supported audience
  • Conduct reviews of training materials to ensure learning objectives are met
  • Provide enhancements and revisions to existing materials based on SME/Stakeholder feedback
  • Design and develop comprehensive learning solutions, incorporating multiple deliverables, to meet business and performance objectives
  • Perform other duties as requested by supervisor

Required Keys for Success
  • 5+ years of instructional design experience
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel
  • Ability to deal with the public in a professional manner
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
  • Ability to manage multiple projects to meet target dates for implementation
  • Ability to operate personal computer, spreadsheet application, database, windows

  • Ability to lead and manage others
  • Ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Skilled in multimedia curriculum development, as well as graphic design, video editing, and animation
  • Ability to evaluate the viability of new technologies, tools, and platforms for use in the company
  • Ability to drive adoption of new learning technologies and platforms
  • Ability to train and advise internal and external partners on the use and selection of design tools, deliverable options, graphic design, and delivery platforms
  • Ability to determine technical proficiency benchmarks for the organization

How You Will Stand Out from the Crowd
  • 3+ years of management experience
  • 2+ years of project management experience
  • Organizational development/change initiatives experience
  • Knowledge of cable television products and services
  • Skills in instructional design methodologies
  • Knowledge of a variety of training delivery systems
  • Skills in measurement and evaluation of training initiatives
  • Skills in team building, relationship building, facilitation and presentation

Your Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Human Resource Development, Business Administration or related field required
  • Specialized training in instructional design methodologies required
