What you can expect in this role As a Spectrum Intern, you’ll be essential to two teams — your respective department and your Intern peer group. Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You’ll spend the other 20% on professional development sessions and networking activities, including the Kickoff Conference on June 2, webinars, community service, cross-functional project, and final presentations.
This position will conduct business analyst functions in support of residential video products. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, passionate about delivering a great customer experience, and have a strong attention to detail.
This position will be responsible for understanding business needs to support new product development and product management lifecycle functions. The Intern should be comfortable working independently using creative thinking and problem solving skills and flexible enough to pivot between multiple tasks when priorities change.
Research and analysis of multiple data sources
Actively and consistently support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
Deliver timely, error-free execution of assigned analyses, with little supervision
Professionally manage communication within the Video content team, across teams within the organization, and external partner teams
Perform other duties as requested by supervisor
Here’s what it takes to get started
Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University completing a Master’s Degree
Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program
Ability to travel locally to Spectrum Intern development events and activities throughout the program
Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner will all levels of management and company personnel
Ability to analyze, interpret, and report data
Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
Adaptability, agility, and ability to manage constant change
Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize effectively and independently
Imaginative and resourceful problem-solver
Solution-oriented and analytical thinking
Eagerness and ability to learn quickly
Strong word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software skills
High business acumen with a focus on integrity and accountability
Familiarity and knowledge of various of services, devices and platforms for TV and video viewing
Data analysis background
Salaries depend on geography, experience, and education; negotiations begin at $18.50
