JOB SUMMARY 5G New Radio (NR) RF Design engineer for modeling RF Propagation of a new network for each market. High level engineer will perform MNO county level RF Propagation designs, develop design tools and processes for Site Survey, define RAN Link Budget parameters needed for optimized traffic offload, deployment and operational support for HMNO mobile access network designs. Additionally, these two positions will assess new product requirements, develop technology solutions and architecture design to support them.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Strong Design expertise in technologies such as LTE and 5G-NR;
Design expertise in small cell, macro network and heterogeneous networks
Experience with Continuous Wave Modeling and propagation tuning
Experience in lockdown Link budget, Coverage and Capacity dimensioning
Solid Experience in RF Design Tools such as ATOLL, Atoll ACP, Planet and ibwave
Ability to code in GIS tools such as QGIS, ArcMap, and Mapinfo
Experience in designing outdoor, indoor as well as mixed environments
Experience in post launch optimization and performance improvement
Previous leadership skills in RF or RAN environments
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Familiar with CBRS and SAS concepts is a plus Ability and experience in site survey, site selection, site configuration. Network design related statistics, work with different technologies to determine where coverage/capacity might be required to reach more customers. Field experience in collection of data. i.e., drive testing, data collection for model tuning Skills in offloading analysis, network planning Experience in network optimization flow, analysis and recommendations using a combination of drive data, KPIs and network statistics. Attention to details and motivation to learn and grow. Charter has in house processes and tools. This individual will help support in enhancing and creating these processes and tools. Therefore, it’s important that the individual has the motivation to venture outside general RF expertise.
Education Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.

The pay for this position has a minimum of $101600. The actual salary offer may be higher as we carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location.
