The Highlights

The Manager of Marketing Data and Analytics manages and analyzes marketing data for effective campaign targeting, segmentation management and program implementation. In this role, you will manage marketing data collection, vendor selection/management, conduct analysis and provide recommendations to enrich our data robustness and targeting strategy.

What you will do
  • Manage the contact acquisition data program, test robustness of information and make data recommendations to select appropriate vendors
  • Develop and support segmentation management strategy to create marketable audience segments by analyzing data from internal CRM, contact database, marketing automation, first-party behavioral, third-party and predictive modeling sources
  • Work closely with key business partners to plan and execute high-impact and practical data analytics projects and initiatives
  • Work with data scientists to apply statistics to business problems, analyze complex data sets and deliver actionable business recommendations
  • Manage, coordinate and prioritize intake requests between the marketing managers and the market analysis team
  • Present findings and make recommendations to team members and leadership as appropriate
  • Carry out other duties as needed
Required keys for success
  • Five or more years of experience in database marketing and marketing analytics in a business-to-business environment
  • Proven record of identifying, selecting and managing vendor relationships and performance
  • Expertise and hands-on experience in using data mining, data analysis, business intelligence and visualization tools
  • Expertise in additional segmentation or classification techniques and algorithms
  • Experience with large data sets and databases: integrating, coding, preparing for analysis and analyzing data to draw meaningful conclusions and strategic implications
  • Knowledge of statistical theory and application, including econometrics, regression analysis and multivariate statistics such as cluster-, factor- and discriminant analysis, latent variable models and structural equation modeling
  • Embodiment of a high-energy, high-integrity and client-driven culture
  • Strong project management skills, including developing and managing complex projects and definition of business use cases that map to strategic business goals
  • Strong SQL and Excel skills
  • Effective business management skills, including strong interpersonal, organizational and prioritization skills
  • Solid analytical background and mindset
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced and changing environment with minimal direction and supervision
  • Effective communication skills and experience presenting information to senior executives
How you will stand out from the crowd
  • Prior telecommunications or cable industry experience
  • Knowledge of Datorama, Tableau and Alteryx
  • Knowledge of Salesforce, Eloqua or other sales/marketing automation tools
Your education
  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics/analytics or equivalent experience (required)
  • Master’s degree in statistics/analytics or equivalent experience (preferred)
