Director, Device Analytics
JOB SUMMARY
You will be working as a leader on the Wireless Product team building technical software that optimizes the customer experience for connecting to cellular and Wi-Fi networks and that enables reporting & analytics of customer usage behavior supporting Spectrum’s growing mobile customer base. In this role you will be responsible for leading the evolution of a highly strategic set of software including defining the the strategy and roadmap. You will work closely with key stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Business Intelligence to define and implement business and technical requirements. You will also provide support of business efforts to release new features and enhance the overall customer experience. Own the overall user experience for software launches, enhancements and break-fix.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES
Own the end-end software development lifecycle in an effort to enhance the customer experience and enable robust reporting and analytic capabilities for Spectrum Mobile.
Lead, develop, train and coach team members.
Stays abreast of changing market conditions, competitors and new technologies.
Responsible for developing success measures throughout the software development lifecycle, including reporting and performance tracking tools to focus attention on areas requiring improvement.
Work with cross-functional partners across Engineering, Marketing, Customer Operations, and Business Intelligence teams to develop and implement strategic vision.
Prioritizes inputs to deliver against software functionality and timeline.
Manages development milestones, project timeline, budget and go to market activities.
Partner with technical stakeholders for leadership of system architecture delivery ensuring alignment with the strategy and requirements.
Maintains a strong technical knowledge of wireless technologies and able to collaborate effectively with Engineering groups.
Develop project charters and business cases to justify new features inclusive of financial, marketing, and technology impact analyses.
Develop and maintain backlogs with relevant development teams.
Drive recurring Agile ceremonies with Development and Test teams.
Develop and maintain data accuracy and reporting for C-level strategic business decisions.
Support executives with adhoc analysis to inform key business decisions for Spectrum Mobile.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills /Abilities and Knowledge
Consumer Wireless, Mobile Telecom industry experience preferred
Extensive Product Management experience required
Requires strategic thinking, deep analytical, and executive presentation/ communication skills.
Ability to analyze and interpret data
Ability to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel Ability to perform business negotiations
Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner
Ability to plan, prioritize and organize effectively
Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
Ability to simultaneously manage several projects
Ability to show judgment and initiative and to accomplish job duties
Ability to use personal computer and software applications
Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database management
Good organizational and office management skills
Excellent cognitive and communication skills

Experience managing front-end mobile applications and supporting back-end infrastructure

Education
Undergraduate degree required
Master's degree preferred, but not required
Related Work Experience
5-7 years of Product Management / New Product Development Experience
5- years of Related industry experience (Wireless, Telecommunications, Cable)
5-7 years of Management experience
