Lead Engineer
TITLE: Lead Engineer
LOCATION: Greenwood Village, Colorado
JOB SUMMARY:
Support Spectrum QAM, DOCSIS, and IP Video through automation, continuous integration continuous delivery, and integration testing. Lead automation development activities, including conducting scrum ceremonies, and creating, executing, and maintaining integration tests for planned deliverables. Create effort estimates for assigned tasks, as well as support prioritization and release management. Collaborate with the Development and Product teams to understand proposed changes and perform a detailed analysis of impacted areas. Create test strategy and planning for software releases by identifying end-to-end impacted user and business scenarios. Participate in the testing of new firmware, software, and hardware supporting Charter Communication, Inc’s video solutions. Check environment readiness for Integration and Automation testing. Responsible for Application and Micro-services deployments and validations. Implement continuous integration and delivery solutions. Monitor and maintain environment stability, troubleshoot, and fix failures. Provide Maintenance Operation Protocols and test closure reports to the Operations team for production deployments. Utilize Unix, Linux, and AWS Server log analysis and automation. Participate in the evaluation, selection, and deployment of new test tools and automation frameworks. Provide timely and accurate information and status updates to leadership. Provide mentoring and technical guidance to team members. Support operations and work with vendors and engineering to resolve production issues. Conduct cross-training and knowledge sharing sessions between team members, while documenting them in the knowledge management space.
Salaries depend on geography, experience, and education; negotiations begin at $111,280.
EDUCATION/ REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, Electronics and Communication Engineering or a closely related field. 3 years of experience utilizing QAM, DOCSIS and Video Guide Streaming on Set-Top-Boxes. 2 years of experience performing Video Client Integration Testing on Video Guide features on Set-Top-Boxes; experience with deployments and environment management, including experience with the client/platform, microservice deployment and maintaining environment readiness; experience with order management and video provisioning, utilizing video guide provisioning and activation flow through CSG; and experience using automation script execution technology tools.
