Senior Director, Commercial Video Products

This position will have a small direct team of product leaders and business analysts supporting Charters’ commercial video development initiatives across multiple video lines of business, such as video CPE, streaming apps, content packaging and video delivery for the Enterprise, SMB & Community Solutions multi-billion dollar business at Charter. The position will also be responsible for driving and delivering on a highly visible product development roadmap. Position will report to the Vice President of Video Products, who is responsible for all residential and commercial video product lines.

Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience

Manages a large, mature, and complex recurring business in a highly competitive market as an incumbent provider

Launches new products (end-to-end) in a complex and rapidly evolving technology environment

Manages a complex matrix environment (Architecture, development, corporate/field engineering, field/corp marketing, programming, finance, sales channels, public relations, executive team, operating group presidents, operations/CARE, etc.)

Accountable for the monthly reporting of business results and product development milestones, which will be communicated to the executive team

Performs pricing, video delivery costing and marketing analysis of competitors, channels, offers, and promotions

Works with separate marketing team to develop marketing plans for video lines of business

Prioritizes marketing programs and offers based on financial upside, cost reduction and operational cost models

Improves video performance within and among Charter functions and regions by fostering approaches that are unique and cutting edge, and recommending new ways the business can improve subscriber growth

Develops and articulates the annual strategic plan for video

Performs other duties as required

Strong knowledge of personal computer and software applications (i.e. word processing, spreadsheet, presentations, etc.) with an ability to personally utilize these tools
This is not a “marketing” job – this is a product development job

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Finance or related discipline and/or an equivalent experience. MBA preferred, but not required.

Related Work Experience
10+ years Product Management Experience working directly with cable television products and services preferred
Experience working with advanced hardware/software products and services preferred

Office environment
Some travel
