JOB SUMMARY The Sr Director, Video Content Strategy & Analytics will drive Charter video content strategy, lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance Spectrum Video capabilities, and evolve analytics to improve the engagement, retention, and acquisition of Charter subscribers.
As a strategist, this role is a subject matter expert, proven, creative, motivated and energetic, who brings expert knowledge of the video ecosystem (traditional cable, network, studio, streaming, including entertainment, news, sports), emerging trends, consumer behavior, and contractual and regulatory environments.
As a key collaborator with executive management, this role requires precision, clarity of communication and the ability to capture strategic vision in professional, data-driven language.
As a leader in execution, this role must drive excellence and cross-functional collaboration with content providers, engineering, operations, data scientists, third party vendors, programming, corporate marketing, customer operations and finance.
This position is eligible to work in a hybrid work model (combination of in-office and remote days)
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Strategy: Uses deep understanding of content and video product landscape to develop data-driven content strategies that benefit Spectrum subscribers and the business • Execution: Translates strategy into requirements, documents, and plans that speak to technical, marketing, programming, and leadership teams • Data: Determines and monitors key performance customer experience indicators for the video product portfolio. Lead quantitative and qualitative analyses to provide insights and justify strategic positions. • Landscape: Performs extensive competitive, peer and market analysis • Executive Reporting and Presentation: Leads the team that aggregates data and crafts precise and compelling presentation materials for on-going Video Team efforts for senior executive and leadership audiences • Diversity and Inclusion:: Creates and contributes to a workplace culture that prioritizes psychological safety and diversity of thought, background, style • Product Management: Drives a portfolio of customer-facing product enhancements that generate increased engagement, revenue growth and market penetration for the video product. • Writing Requirements: Defines and manages development and implementation of product and marketing requirements for the next generation of the video product feature set on next generation as well as legacy equipment. • Cross-functional leadership: Leads and works with a cross functional team through the development, implementation and launch of new products and features. • Vendor management: Establishes credibility with suppliers and third party vendors to direct strategy and implementation, while driving deliverable timelines • Supports connectivity: Works on the integration of classic video products with web, mobile, high speed internet and phone • Develops new leaders: grows confidence, excellence, and professionalism in a team comprised of diverse skillsets and approaches • Manages budget: works closely with business planning to forecast, track, and reconcile capital and operational budgets
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Skills/Abilities and Knowledge Ability to read, write, speak and understand English Communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner Listen to and interpret the needs of the customer Prioritize and organize effectively Supervise and motivate others Lead, manage and develop a high performing team Manage competing priorities and shift focus as determined by changing needs of the business Problem solving/analytical thinking and the ability to handle multiple projects Strong business acumen and analytical skills Extensive video content experience in the MVPD space, including experience with programming, lineups, packaging, and operations Experience with cross platform, IP enabled video services and applications Knowledge in evolving video and on demand TV technologies Knowledge of functions and related tasks in the area of video content and on demand operations Knowledge of video services platforms and systems from a product perspective Proven experience in analytics and strategy development Strong and consistent history of interpreting quantitative and qualitative data and leveraging to develop strategies and drive decisions Strong and consistent history of providing a high level of service to internal and external customers
Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience MBA preferred
Related Work Experience 10+ years of Video experience within a consumer subscription video company 5+ years of Leadership experience

The pay for this position has a salary range of $151,300.00 to $268,300.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
