Responsible for leading a platform development team and initiatives for Charter’s primary Set Top box application Spectrum Guide. Bridges technical conversations between Product/Architecture/Developers to successfully produce a high quality customer feature. Embodies a test-driven development approach and continues to develop that culture within the team. This role champions the video roadmap, driving cross functional collaboration with Software Engineering, Advanced Engineering, Video Operations, and third-party vendors to achieve business outcomes. They must be passionate about changing how Charter’s customers consume our services, while caring deeply about improving the relationship that Charter has with its customers.

Actively and consistently oversees all efforts to innovate while simplifying the customer experience across video platforms

Lead and work with a cross functional team through the development, implementation and launch of new features.

Oversee and is responsible for all aspects of front-end software development for one or more video applications leveraging JavaScript technologies.

Develop and enhance credibility with internal and external team members to direct planning and implementation, while driving deliverable timelines.
Possess firm understanding of Web 2.0 technologies, protocols, data models and user interface programming, ensuring alignment between the business operational strategies and technical solutions.

Prepares and delivers the product vision for the platform.

Proactively identifies and secures key customer experience metrics for the video platform.

Lead customer-facing product development and enhancements that generate increased engagement, revenue growth and market penetration.

Bring process and procedure to an enterprise application development environment.

Performs other duties as requested by supervisor.

Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Possess a deep technical knowledge of client-side and API development
Experience retaining, managing, and growing talented team to deliver high quality digital products in very aggressive timeframes
Knowledge of architecture, design and performance optimization of traditional and IP video streaming technologies
Expert knowledge of industry standard development tools and processes (JIRA, git, stash, etc.)
Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner
Ability to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Ability to analyze and interpret data
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
Ability to show judgment and initiative and to accomplish job duties
Strong working knowledge of and experience with internet delivered video platforms
Knowledge of industry hardware and software standards
Strong working knowledge of broadband services, technology, and marketing
Knowledge of cable and telecommunications products, services, and competitive landscape
Advanced skills in managing software delivery projects
Deep understanding of software development methodologies
Proven track record in interpreting technical information in order to determine requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, engineering, or Computer Science; master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred, but not required

Related Work Experience
6+ years product development, product management experience in telecommunications, software or web services or other related industries

Office environment
Some travel may be required

The pay for this position has a minimum of $90600. The actual salary offer may be higher as we carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as commissions or bonuses.
