What you can expect in this role
As a Spectrum Intern, you’ll be essential to two teams — your respective department and your Intern peer group. Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You’ll spend the other 20% on professional development sessions and networking activities, including the Kickoff Conference on June 2, webinars, community service, cross-functional project, and final presentations.

Internship responsibilities may include
This position is responsible for supporting the financial strategy, planning, and analysis needs of IT, including annual budgeting, quarterly forecasts, justification forms, headcount dashboards, Work Order management, and aggregation/communication to IT leadership.
  • Exposure to monthly financial reviews to leadership for Strategy & Planning and Mobile, including assistance with variance analytics
  • Enhance current metrics, including brainstorming new ideas to better quantify the work done within the FP&A team.
  • Touch Points with executive leadership and cross functional teams
  • Fieldglass/SAP tool utilization and shadowing P2P Process- Understanding the end to end of a engaging contingent labor, including DOA & funding compliance requirements to eventual contractor start

Here’s what it takes to get started

Required qualifications
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University completing a Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree
  • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program
  • Ability to travel locally to Spectrum Intern development events and activities throughout the program
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a collaborative and dynamic team environment
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data
  • Ability to quickly identify business problems/opportunities
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
  • Excellent knowledge of software applications such as Word, Excel, etc.
