Mgr, Ethical Hacking
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for managing Charter's IT Security penetration testing team. This includes effectively managing the activities of IT Security personnel, ensuring penetration tests are safely and successfully completed, providing results to internal business partners, driving enterprise initiatives successfully towards defined and agreed-upon results, and executing program reporting.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
Manage day-to-day operational aspects of IT Security penetration tests to ensure safe and successful assessments. This includes, but is not limited to scope identification, rules of engagement, coordination with internal teams, and ongoing communications.
Utilize project management processes and methodologies to ensure assigned projects are delivered on schedule, within budget and meet business specifications.
Develop and maintain strategies that assure the achievement of IT Security policies and standards.
Simultaneously handle multiple initiatives while working with cross functional teams to ensure program success.
Track costs, performance, service levels and other metrics required to ensure team goals and objectives are met.
Manage high performing teams by leading, developing, training and providing effective coaching to attract and foster talent.
Proactively identify program risks and define mitigation plans. Report progress/risks and issues to relevant decision bodies at an early stage.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to read, write and speak the English to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in-person, on the phone, and by written communication in a clear, straight-forward, and professional manner
Ability to prioritize and organize effectively and manage multiple projects and assignments
Ability to develop strong working relationships with peers and project members
Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills
Proven ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge and ability to use computer and software applications
Ability to analyze and interpret data
Demonstrated ability to effectively influence without direct authority
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to professionally represent the project status to Leadership Team
Excellent time management and follow-up skills
Detail-oriented and demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptive to internal processes and change, delays or unexpected events
Understanding of requirements necessary to drive change management within a digital, data driven environment
Education
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience
