JOB SUMMARY This is a senior level position that is responsible for analyzing and understanding trends in data and, based on insights, creates advanced strategies to mitigate billing, provisioning and data integrity issues. Responsible for creating and producing forecasts, reports, ad hoc requests, dashboards, etc. in order to provide insights to determine operational impact, trends, and opportunities. This role requires thorough understanding of business analysis and data methodology.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct complex data analysis, statistical tests in support of a variety of analytic solutions to identify gaps in billing systems
Capture, develop, and document data definitions, business rules, and data quality requirements
Integrate data from multiple sources to produce requested or required data elements
Create and produce forecasts, reports, ad hoc requests, dashboards, etc.
Interpret data, analyze results, and provide insights to determine operational impact, trends, and opportunities
Develop reports and deliverables for management and communicate with all levels of stakeholders
Identify and define data quality improvements and create advanced strategies
Ensure compliance with deliverable reporting requirements by performing quality data audits and analysis
Create specifications for reports based on business requests
Responsible for the entire end-to-end data science process from ETL to building models, to deploying the model into workflows to measuring the financial impact
Responsible for the selection of appropriate algorithms and execution
Responsible for interpretation of results – for both casual interferences and predictive effectiveness
Synthesize appropriate recommendations for action and changes
Identify opportunities to use data to develop new strategies and improve business performance and utilize knowledge of mathematical modeling and other optimization methods to perform quantitative and qualitative data analysis
Support, evaluating and enhancing strategies created by other Data Analysts
Perform other duties as requested
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
Ability to work independently, as well as in a collaborative and dynamic team environment
Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities
Ability to analyze and interpret data
Ability to quickly identify business problems/opportunities
Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner
Ability to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel
Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
Ability to document, prepare and present data-driven presentations
Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint and Access
Excellent quantitative analysis skills
Strong to Expert knowledge of SQL
Expert knowledge in data pre-processing and exploratory data analysis using a variety of statistical techniques
Understand the theoretical background of each statistical test and model
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Advanced proficiency with large databases; conducting complex analysis using more than one programming language such as SAS and Python Expert level logical and analytical skills Broad experience and solid theoretical foundation on the modeling process using a variety of algorithms Ability to explain complex analysis results in an easy-to-understand language Ability to create conceptual frameworks enabling the analysis of varied business problems
Education Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Management or other quantitative fields.
Related Work Experience 5 + Years - Data analysis and reporting or related experience 2 + Years - Solving business problems through deep analytics and with (with Bachelors Degree) OR 1 + Years Solving business problems through deep analytics (with Masters Degree)
