JOB SUMMARY:Design, develop and implement Big Data software including Viewership Data Lake and Edge Cache. Resolve issues regarding development, operations, implementations, and system status. Design, develop, modify, enhance and implement software systems that support new and existing business initiatives by using Big Data technologies (Hadoop Eco System, Spark, Talend, and Amazon Web Services). Code and perform unit and integration testing on Hadoop ecosystem tools, including Hadoop Distributed File System, Hive, Yarn, SQOOP, Flume, Oozie, Kafka, Scala, Spark, and Spark Streaming to ensure proper and efficient execution and adherence to business and technical requirements. Review and provide input regarding development standards and develop and maintain technical documentation. Work closely with all technical development teams on optimal utilization of Big Data solutions and Apache Open Source Software. Provide general system users and management with system analysis and feedback. Influence system design by identifying and recommending design and requirements needs for software enhancements. Maximize the efficiency of software systems by implementing, monitoring, testing and auditing new software programs. Participate in continuous performance improvement sessions to discuss opportunities to improve processes or standards. Use RDBMS database concepts. Transfer data in Real Time in Hadoop Environment using Kafka. Use NoSQL database for developing applications running in Big Data environment. Use Big Data Technologies including Map Reduce, YARN, SQOOP, Hive, Zookeeper, Oozie, Text file, Avro data files, Sequence files, XML and JSON files and Parquet. Use Spark Context, Spark-SQL, Data Frame, Pair RDD’s concepts and run applications using Spark Framework. Develop applications using Java, Scala and Talend. Use Unix and Shell scripting.
EDUCATION/
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, and 4 years of experience using RDBMS database concepts. Must have 3 years of experience using NoSQL database for developing applications running in Big Data environment. Must have 2 years of experience: transferring data in Real Time in Hadoop Environment using Kafka; using Big Data Technologies including Map Reduce, YARN, SQOOP, Hive, Zookeeper, Oozie, Text file, Avro data files, Sequence files, XML and JSON files and Parquet; using Spark Context, Spark-SQL, Data Frame, Pair RDD’s concepts and running applications using Spark Framework: developing applications using Java: and using Unix and Shell scripting. Must have 1 year of experience developing applications using Scala and Talend.
