SUMMARY

Spectrum Reach is in search of Brand Marketing and Strategy Manager to oversee our suite of innovative data-driven solutions.

This position reports to the Senior Director, Brand Marketing and Strategy and will have responsibility for working within a matrix organizational structure to help develop Spectrum Reach’s strategic vision and tactical implementation of our proprietary census-level viewership data solutions. This strategy must support our overarching brand positioning and promise for local, regional and national sales channels.

This role requires a unique blend of strategic thinking, creativity and data story telling proficiency to help our advertisers understand the value of Spectrum Reach’s data-driven product suite.
The Brand Marketing and Strategy Manager will be responsible but not limited to working closely with our Media Research and Insights + Enterprise Research, Product and Advanced Advertising teams to support all key Spectrum Reach proprietary census-level viewership data solution products and offerings.

JOB DUTIES
  • Create strategic marketing insights to support sales monetization efforts for all of Spectrum Reach’s data-driven ad solutions including Linear, Streaming and Digital
  • Proactively uncover trends in media advertising and TV viewing habits. Keep leadership and sales teams abreast of these patterns and shape a Spectrum Reach-specific point-of-view
  • Produce high-quality, easy to understand sales collateral (presentations, one-sheets, client communications, videos, etc.) to equip the sales force with tools that articulate Spectrum Reach’s value proposition effectively, succinctly, and with high impact
  • Lead marketing efforts by partnering with Sales, Data, Research and Product teams to leverage campaign performance insights to power data-driven success stories for top advertising categories
  • Foster a culture of storytelling within the Marketing group and across departments. Collaborate with our Research and Advanced Advertising teams to produce thought provoking insights that change how advertisers think about their customers
  • Interpret key research and insights to develop differentiated, defensible market positioning and value propositions
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong knowledge of the Advanced/Digital advertising landscape
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships and work across multiple departments
  • An intellectual curiosity for seeking answers to difficult questions
  • Passion for strategic storytelling, problem solving and creating smart simplified sales collateral
  • Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communications with overarching skill to translate data, information and research into powerful points of view—ability to craft and tell a compelling story.
  • Understanding of new product pipeline development and innovation (concept development, testing & commercialization)
  • Must have strong diplomatic and interpersonal skills to foster and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the company while making good, timely decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong project management skills to ensure multiple projects with varying timelines, needs and approvals inputs are completed successfully.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum 5-7 years of Research or Marketing experience - ideally in the media/ advertising industry (Online player, Digital Agency, MVPD or Programmer)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business or equivalent work experience.
  • General understanding of competitive intelligence tools and resources
