Programmatic Partnerships Specialist - Ad Sales
The Partnerships Specialist is a strategic partner providing day to day support on behalf of the sales organization with our partnerships across DSPs like The Trade Desk, and SSPs like Magnite and Freewheel. This key team member is integral to insure those partnerships are maintained, expanded and continue to be successful. For example this role will provide support across the programmatic business such as management of block lists, analyzing deal/ advertiser/ sales data, managing an extensive reporting portfolio, a focus on deal marketplace maintenance & expansion as well as supporting the team on new strategic partnerships as they evolve. This role requires experience working in a media or technology company on strategic partnership management, business development, or strategy. It will report to the Senior Manager, Business Development.

The pay for this position has a salary range of $66,500.00 to $127,600.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Partnership Management
- Day to day support of partners to maximize marketplace opportunity, and prioritize solutions and capabilities
- Identify and maximize revenue near and midterm with existing partnerships
- Collaborate with partners to achieve common goals
- Provide support to team to identify, acquire, onboard and expand partners to drive revenue opportunities
- Support management of pipeline, stakeholder mapping, cultivating new relationships, and deal flow
- Lead aggregation and analysis of BD reporting portfolio inclusive of several weekly and monthly reports, as well as ad hoc reporting requests
- Analyze large data sets to find trends and actionable insights in order to surface new opportunities for partnership growth e.g. spend, bid density, CPM, wins, etc.
- Collaborate with the Yield, Ops, Product teams to increase overall revenue and spot optimization opportunities
- Identify and execute methods to streamline processes
- Provide summaries/ options to team to enable data-driven decisions and recommendations
Cross Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with other members of the BD team, Product, Yield, Ops, Marketing, and Sales to insure successful partnerships through lifecycle starting with launch to more mature partnerships
- Support team on upcoming meetings, conferences, QBRS with material creation, scheduling, etc.
- Oversee partner deal performance and delivery is aligned with expectations
- New deal setup lead all new partner deals sourced by our BD team; taking specs agreed to, entering into system to create new deal IDs, troubleshoot, and optimize accordingly
- Experience working in an org focused on partnerships, business development, and/or strategy
- Knowledge of the programmatic ecosystem, and how CTV is bought and sold
- High level proficiency in MS Office, particularly excel as well as other data and analytics software
- An analytical mindset that identifies solutions based in data; ability to create pivot tables, use v-lookup formulas, if/then statements, evaluate charts and graphs and convey actionable insights
- In-depth knowledge of programmatic terms and calculations
- Experience with Salesforce, SSP Platforms (Magnite, Freewheel), and other Advertising software or technology
- Familiarity with and experience in programmatic; understanding of deal IDs, metrics, and optimization strategies
- Customer obsessed to insure excellent partnership experience and service
- Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills in a faced paced sales environment
- Collaborative mindset, ready to work with multiple cross-functional departments
- Must be an excellent problem solver with expertise in finding solutions with the help of others
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communications with overarching skill to translate data, information, and research into powerful points of view—ability to craft and tell a compelling story
- Passionate about the convergence of entertainment, technology, and data that is fueling new opportunities for Spectrum Reach, advertisers, and Madison Avenue
- Comfortable with entrepreneurial speed and “pinch hitting” for different roles as we build
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in ground level, fast growing, newly formed business
- Experience working within a high growth newly formed programmatic business
- Previous experience in an Ad Agency, Media, SSP, DSP, Agency Trading Desk
- Hands on experience with SSP, DSPs, marketplaces (e.g. SpotX, TTD, Freewheel)
- Understanding of 3rd party ad servers, tags, and video ad serving concepts (e.g. VAST)
- Knowledge / experience with data visualization tools
Education:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
Related Work Experience:
- 3-6 years’ experience at a media or technology company in a role focused on strategic partnership management, business development, or strategy
