The Senior Director, Product Management will be a key leader in Spectrum Reach’s Product Development Organization. This role will be responsible for leading the development of world class advanced advertising solutions on behalf of thousands of Spectrum Reach clients. This senior leader will play a pivotal role in defining strategy, product definition, business models, vendor / technology evaluation, cross-platform execution, and ultimately deliver revenue growth for Spectrum Reach. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across Sales, Finance, Yield Management, Data, Operations, Technology and intenal/external development partners to create advanced advertising solutions. This role is pivotal as the TV advertising ecosystem is in the midst of a transformation from a traditional TV economy to an impressions-based and data-rich ecosystem. This leader will drive the key programs that will support this transformation, creating tools, products and solutions that put the power of data into the hands of our sellers, clients and internal stakeholders.

This exceptional leader will have hands on experience with: premium video, audience-based and addressable advertising solutions, multi-screen TV advertising, the application of data for campaign planning, management and media mix modeling, inventory management, ad serving technologies, TV measurement, TV and Digital advertising economics, deep technical and industry knowledge of both traditional and emerging tools, industry privacy practices, technical acumen, budgeting and business modeling, vendor management, agile development, and the ability to connect the dots to shift from single point products to multi-screen, advanced solutions.

The Sr. Director of Advanced Advertising Product Management will encourage a culture based on teamwork, cross functional collaboration and unbridled intellectual curiosity to evaluate new products, refresh existing capabilities and define and manage the development of new multi-screen capabilities.

  • Lead the creation of best-in-class multi-screen and data-driven advanced advertising products for internal and external partners at scale
  • Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to define strategy, requirements, roadmap, and continuity support
  • Has the fluidity to act as an individual contributor and produce substantive deliverables.
  • Forward thinker in translating sales needs into strategic and compelling business opportunities by building consensus on priorities leading to product execution
  • Translate business strategy into a product roadmap, articulating trade-offs and business cases for new features through data-driven prioritization and deep understanding of business needs
  • Proactively solve issues and act as a single point of contact / subject matter expert across assigned scope
  • Motivate, lead, influence and manage direct and indirect teams, working collaboratively to drive programs that meet our internal stakeholders and clients’ business objectives
  • Interface as needed with executive team, providing highly professional and concise roadmap status and expert business and product insights
  • Inform senior management on key opportunities, potential risks, and potential partnerships
  • Contribute to development of business cases and funding requirements; responsible for the function’s budgets
  • Act as a subject matter expert through commercialization process.
  • 10+ years’ experience in media, strategy consulting or similar company within the TV media ecosystem with a focus on product management or product design with deep focus on video
  • Proven history of managing multiple product efforts and significant experience leading product roadmaps, prioritizing and identifying opportunities for backlog, collaborating with development teams for ongoing enhancements
  • Deep knowledge of the advanced advertising eco-system including local media
  • Understanding of the MVPD media sales channels (local, regional and national), cable programmers, content providers, evolving ecosystem models, outcome-based marketing and supporting tools
  • Applicable experience with direct marketing/addressable advertising techniques, methodologies, list matching, data fusion as well as synthesis of campaign performance
  • Experience with key categories such as automotive, health, retail, tune-in and political
  • Thinks about outcomes, is customer focused and applies heightened levels of service across all stakeholder groups
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects, tasks and responsibilities concurrently
  • Ability to form strong relationships with internal teams, vendors and clients
  • Ability to negotiate complex contracts to support emerging business models
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and ability to collaborate across the organization
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues, both logical and interpersonal
  • Self-motivator, independent, cooperative, flexible, creative
  • Prefer candidates to work in NYC Spectrum Reach headquarters; may consider candidates that work in either our Denver or Charlotte offices
  • Travel as needed, up to 25%
  • BA or BS College Degree, Master’s Degree or MBA preferred
