JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Manager of Data Standards, Performance and Methodology will be responsible for identifying data and research needs around existing and developing media digital and linear advertising products managed by the Spectrum Reach Product Team. This role requires development and support of all back-end data analyses, methodological recommendations and modeling for Spectrum Reach’s DSPM (Data Standards, Performance and Methodology) team to empower existing and future Spectrum Reach products and inventory sources. This role reports directly to the Vice President, Data Standards, Performance and Methodology.

As the industry moves to an integrated, cross platform and addressable enabled impression based environment, the it is imperative that the Manager, Directors and VP on this team understand the relationship between audiences, ad exposures and outcomes to help drive the input and output metrics, as well as positioning, for Spectrum Reach’s future business needs.
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
Relevant Master’s degree preferred, but not required

- Deep understanding of research best practices in data aggregation, analysis, positioning and reporting as it applies to media and advertising
- Evaluate existing data sets and help recommend new data sets that will maximize tehe value of Spectrum Reach’s inventory and intelligence.
- Address specific questions around campaign, audience and inventory performance at the request of senior management.
- Work collaboratively with Sales and Product Onwers to find creative and meaningful ways to tell a positive story for client performance.
- Provide guidance to Data and Development teams by translating sales and customer needs into prioritized project requests.
- Collaborate with Data Science and Data Insight teams to bring modeling ideas to life and make those ideas available to teams that need them.
- Represent the DSPM team in internal team and planning meetings as well as in external research groups like CIMM and MRC.
- Proactively identify analysis to support all efforts with an eye toward Spectrum Reach’s overall Product strategy
- Contribute to managing vendor relationships by defining clear & concise performance metrics to be built into tracking/monitoring tools to drive platform performance
- Help drive cross product implementations and unification efforts
- Support the development and communication of Product Strategies dependent on new services/features to drive financial results. Work with engineering, product management peers, marketing stakeholders and key market areas on implementing strategy
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
- Strong ability to analyze, interpret and present data
- Strong skills with SQL
- Knowledge of traditional media research and experience with Nielsen, Comscore, SimilarWeb, Moat and other measurement vendors
- Knowledge of Snowflake, Teradata, AWS and Alteryx helpful but not required
- Great understanding of design and implementation practices in Tableau desktop and server
- Strong understanding of advanced analytics processes and reporting design principles and modeling
- Strong business acumen and sense of urgency to achieve business results
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to all levels of an organization to aid in decision-making
- Proven track record for strong problem resolution techniques, ability to find solutions
- Strong data and presentation tool skills including MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to balance conflicting resource demands and internal pressures with focus towards our business priorities
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and electronically
- Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
- Ability to communicate with all levels of management
- Ability to develop, communicate and implement strategies and tactics
- Ability to manage and deliver against several initiatives simultaneously
- Ability to supervise and motivate others
- Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
