The Highlights

The Manager of Cloud Sales is responsible for the activities of a team of cloud account executives, cloud account managers and cloud channel sales executives who sell cloud solutions within an assigned territory. In this role, you will focus on delivering our Cloud Enterprise Managed Services, hosting, colocation, DaaS, cloud/utility computing, Microsoft Cloud and cloud-hosted data protection services to prospective clients in your assigned market.

What you will do
  • Lead a team of cloud account executives to secure new business, achieving growth and hitting sales targets by successfully managing the sales team
  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands the company's client base and ensure a strong presence in your market
  • Own the recruiting, goal setting, coaching and performance management of your team
  • Develop and execute customized account plans for key clients and prospects
  • Prospect for new clients for new revenue opportunities
  • Establish and qualify pipeline, engaging appropriate resources to develop technical requirements and solutions
  • Ensure clean handoff from presales to appropriate service delivery resources
  • Work within Navisite guidelines to negotiate appropriate pricing, service level and legal terms with clients
  • Work in conjunction with all internal organizations supporting sales
  • Provide weekly sales summaries and reports
  • Comply with Navisite’s standards and policies related to documentation, reporting, travel and related administrative activities
Required keys for success
  • Fifteen or more years of sales experience
  • Five or more years of sales leadership experience
  • Experience selling to a range of clients from mid-market ($100M-$3B) to large enterprises ($3B+)
  • Experience selling a range of sales cycles from short (point) to long (complex)
  • Experience in channel sales; provider or value added reseller (VAR)/reseller
  • Demonstrable and verifiable skill set in either or both of these markets:
    • Cloud Enterprise Managed Services (i.e., Azure, AWS, Google) or
    • Infrastructure services and solutions (i.e., VMware)
  • Demonstrated understanding of our industry, client needs and competitive landscape
  • Ability to create and work your own leads in addition to leads sourced from business development representatives or our corporate marketing efforts
  • Aptitude to work well in a team environment with multiple resources
