What you can expect in this role As a Spectrum Intern, you’ll be essential to two teams — your respective department and your Intern peer group. Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You’ll spend the other 20% on professional development sessions and networking activities, including the Kickoff Conference on June 2, webinars, community service, cross-functional project, and final presentations.
Internship responsibilities may include:
Front end project work building tools to automate deployments and regression tests
Project work implementing new features to Data, Voice and Video products sold by Spectrum
Opportunity to learn the Salesforce platform
Opportunity to build skills working as a Middleware developer (tools like Mulesoft, KAFKA)
Opportunity to learn the “Lead to Cash” order workflow process utilized for Spectrum Enterprise customer orders
Here’s what it takes to get started
Must be enrolled in an accredited College or University with a graduation date of December 2023 or May 2024
Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program
Ability to travel locally to Spectrum Intern development events and activities throughout the program
Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for Charter Sponsorship
Ability to work in a team environment
Oral and written skills
Problem solving abilities
Proficient in Software including Adobe, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word
Knowledge of Object oriented language like Java
Knowledge of using web services (like SOAP, REST, Bulk) to integrate systems
Knowledge of relational database and DB query languages like SQL
