Provide technical leadership, guidance, and support in formulating strategic technology approaches and systems architectures for Charter's enterprise systems. This position is responsible for designing reusable technical assets and standards to support solution development, as well as consulting with project owners on how to best leverage these assets and standards. Broad knowledge of the information technology landscape - stretching from infrastructure, network, client, server, emerging technology standards and trends.

  • Perform analysis and development of physical and logical Oracle SOA Composites architecture models for the application, web and mid-tier environments
  • Design and develop solutions built with Oracle 12c Fusion Middleware ( BPEL , OSB, OWSM, Oracle Business Rules, BPM, SOAP and REST Services)
  • Work with the Application support team and Oracle DBA team to resolve application issues
  • Review proposed changes and test them in a test and QA environment
  • Provide technical troubleshooting on complex issues requiring rapid resolution related to Oracle Fusion Middleware applications and environments
  • Hands-on trouble shooting experience with BPEL, OSB, ESS, BPM, ODI to resolve integrations related issues
  • Work independently and manage day-to-day efforts toward project accomplishments
  • Participate in project planning and project status communications
  • Interact and consult with appropriate business analysts, project managers and developers to understand application/project requirements and define architectural solutions to meet those requirements
  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
  • Drive business and IT alignment to leverage reusable architecture capabilities
  • Collaborate with IT management to define and develop technology strategy, technology standards, roadmaps, and practices
  • Act as a technical expert addressing problems relating to systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platform integration
  • Interact and consult with appropriate business analysts, project managers and developers to understand application/project requirements and define architectural solutions to meet those requirements
  • Work with the application solutions delivery teams in the development of services, components, standards, and frameworks required to support Charter's business strategy (e.g. design patterns, reusable components)
  • Ensure that projects follow the prescribed development life cycle and meet quality standards
  • Assist with analyzing and recommending software acquisitions and alternative
  • solutions/methodologies/strategies and tools
  • Keep current with trends and technological innovations in the Cable and IT industry, and make appropriate development recommendations
  • Identify risks associated with component or application implementation

Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

  • Knowledge of all phases of software development including design, coding, testing, debugging, implementation

BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS or related field or equivalent work experience

  • 10 years of overall experience with Oracle SOA Suite Middleware systems
  • 5 years of experience as an Analyst, Developer, or Architect
  • Experience with XPath, XQuery/XSLT, XML, XSDand web service design
  • Experience with Oracle SQL, PL/SQL and relational database objects
  • Experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Fundamentals, Oracle Application Integration Architecture (AIA), Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) and Oracle Service Bus (OSB)
  • Experience with building automation tools (ANT, Maven, Jenkins) and testing automation tools (SoapUI, JUnit)
  • Experience with Oracle middleware systems installation, configuration and operations
