Responsibilities
Date posted 04/16/2021 Requisition Number: 279152BR Location: United States - Missouri - St Louis Area of Interest: Finance and Accounting Position Type: Full TimeUnder limited supervision, this position is responsible for all functions relating to the accounts payable vendor team processes. Will ensure data quality, compliance, and consistency of vendor master data.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish new vendor master records and execute changes to current vendor master records
- Accurately review and maintain a large volume of data daily
- Drive standardization by optimizing processes and implementing best practices
- Work with vendors and internal customers to resolve vendor master data issues
- Perform special projects and vendor status research as needed
- Create and analyze vendor master data and perform ad-hoc reporting
- Develop and maintain process documents for vendor master team
- Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the internal customer experience
- Train and assist team members
- Receive communication via phone or email from vendors and internal customers, ensure timely responses to questions or concerns
- Work to continuously improve AP Vendor processes and ensure SOX compliant
- Perform other duties as requested by the AP Manager
QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED
- Prior AP team lead experience
- Ability to multitask
- Knowledge of IRS TIN match site
- Concept knowledge of W-9’s and 1099’s
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
- Ability to communicate with employees, suppliers, in person, on the phone and by written communications in a clear, straight-forward and professional manner
- Ability to use computer and software applications (i.e. Word, Excel spreadsheets, etc.)
- Ability to work independently
- Knowledge of basic accounting procedures
- Knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA and Ariba
College coursework in Accounting or related field, or equivalent work experience
RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE NUMBER OF YEARS
