TITLE: Sr. Software Developer
LOCATION: St. Louis, MO
JOB SUMMARY: Design, develop, modify, and implement applications and services to support enterprise applications. Code, test, and debug new software, and make enhancements to existing software using Java and J2EE. Analyze and develop java solutions based on customer requirements. Recommend design and requirement needs for software enhancements. Write unit test cases using Junit and test software using Mockito to ensure software quality and adherence to software requirements. Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems. Assist with the development and implementation of strategies for migration, consolidation, and upgrading system components. Ensure monitoring and alerting is in place for all critical services, infrastructures, and vendor connections using Splunk, App Dynamics, and Solarwinds. Lead code reviews sessions to validate adherence with development standards. Mentor and train junior members of the team and act as an escalation point for all issues. Design, develop, and test software using Java and J2EE. Utilize HTTP oriented Java platform with Spring to build and develop enterprise web applications. Query data in Oracle SQL databases. Use Service Oriented Architecture to build applications; write unit test cases using Junit; and test applications using Mockito.
EDUCATION/ REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Sciences, or a related field. 3 years of experience: designing, developing and testing software using Java and J2EE; utilizing HTTP oriented Java platform with Spring to build and develop enterprise web applications; and querying data in Oracle SQL databases. 2 years of experience: using Service Oriented Architecture to build applications; writing unit test cases using Junit; and testing applications using Mockito.
