The Sup, Traffic is responsible for supervising the workflow and processes of the Media Operations Center and Traffic Coordinators while maximizing revenue. This position is responsible for supervising day-to-day advertising campaign needs. This includes the maintenance, reporting, quality control, and auditing of campaigns passed through the Media Operations Center with an ultimate goal of order accuracy and driving revenue.

  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
  • Supervise the Traffic Coordinators in support of all Media campaigns
  • Supervise the general performance of a team to include goal-setting, goal attainment, and appropriate training of Traffic Coordinator
  • Ensure competence and continuity of qualified traffic team by aiding in optimum selection, training and development, performance management, and engagement techniques and tools
  • Utilize reports for measuring team success and identify and coaching to areas improvement
  • Supervise standardized workflow process improvement and implementation within supporting traffic team
  • Assist in the documentation of workflow processes and procedures for traffic operations
  • Perform quality control audits on orders and copy passed through the Media Operations Center to ensure campaigns are entered, scheduled on time and accurately executed
  • Maintain platforms; troubleshoot and problem solve platform conflicts
  • Interact with external vendors to review and troubleshoot issues
  • Provide updates to Sales and Sales Support regarding ad campaign details and order status
  • Assist in implementing processes to enhance the department’s ability to handle technological advancement, system upgrades, and changing sales’ needs
  • Collaborate with Traffic Coordinators and Sales to translate reporting into impactful yield management, trending analysis, forecasting and fulfillment
  • Serve as a quality control and audit agent for the Traffic team
  • Provide department with direction on client expectations through training and work assignments
  • Develop, prepare, and analyze ad hoc reports for management utilization
  • Audit verified revenue across multiple regions
  • Provide backup to the Traffic Manager with daily duties and respond to inquiries during their absence or as needed
  • Other projects as requested by manager
  • Master and excel in all aspects of traffic job function
  • Ability to lead, motivate, coach and develop a team
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner
  • Ability to cultivate vendor relationships in a professional manner
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working within assigned deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple projects to meet target dates for delivery
  • Strong knowledge of and ability to work in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and SharePoint
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
  • Ability to work independently; highly motivated and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment where demands and directions of work are changing
  • Ability to demonstrate superb follow through
  • Knowledge of basic marketing, advertising, digital and ad sales principles
  • Proficient utilization of traffic and automation software
  • Adept at generating reports, analyzing the data, and providing to sales, operations and advertisers in a easily understood format
  • Knowledge of media traffic
  • Knowledge of cable television products and services
  • Knowledge of ad campaign platforms, i.e. Eclipse, Strata and ACW
  • Advanced ability in adjusting and evaluating ad campaigns in the automation systems

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Advertising, or Marketing or equivalent experience
