You execute project plans for engineering management resources and bandwidth transport and capacity management. You accurately analyze data, forecast network needs and execute preapproved initiatives while managing inventory for leased capacity and numerous internal corporate clients. You collaborate with teams in person an digitally within an office environment.

WHAT OUR TRANSPORT AND CAPACITY ENGINEERS ENJOY MOST

  • Prioritize and coordinate solutions for complex circuit orders and capacity requirements.
  • Develop and create required engineering diagrams for networking management solutions.
  • Design and implement plans for interconnects with LECs and other carriers.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient transport and circuit management functions by developing and maintaining processes and procedures.
  • Create reports indicating benchmarks, critical paths, resource loads, schedule slack, plan adjustments and evaluations of task force results.
  • Maintain all aspects of the network by coordinating bandwidth needs using accurate forecasting.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM ENTERPRISE

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: Three years of experience in program development, project planning and relevant transport experience in a related industry.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Technical Skills: Broad knowledge of circuit ordering for bandwidth requirements; Advanced knowledge of SONET ring functionality, testing and activation; Familiar with IP transport and routing protocols; Expert in analyzing and interpreting data and project future connectivity needs; Ability to use LERG or other toolsets; Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Skills: Prioritization, organizational and English communication
  • Abilities: Proven ability to interpret engineering drawings and fiber maps.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional-level network certification.
  • Knowledge of Spectrum Enterprise products.
  • Experience with Access Service Requests. 
  • CCNA, JNCIA, and/or MEF certification.
