Hear from our team
"I have worked for Spectrum for nearly three years, first as a weekend morning News Producer and now as a Special Projects Producer, and I feel like my future with Spectrum Networks is limitless. It's exciting to be involved in new endeavors, and I'm grateful to be a part of it. We're providing customers with dynamic original content, documentaries, and specials tailored to their own communities. Our leaders are a source of inspiration and always open to helping others grow. I appreciate the trust they show in me and the creative liberty they give me. Every day is different and my team is right there with me for the ride."
Victoria, Special Projects Producer
"Spectrum Networks does an amazing job reaching out to people, whether it's delivering stories that matter to our customers on a 24/7 basis or joining community-wide housing and charitable projects. We can do things no other networks can, and I think that makes this a really special place. People can count on us. It's a supportive environment. I know my managers are there for me, willing to work with me and catch me if I need help. They aren't afraid to let me try something new. There are opportunities to learn from the best and chances to put my skills to the test, all with the comfort of knowing I have a strong group next to me. There's nothing to lose and plenty to gain."

Reporter's notebook'In Focus' Delivers Thought-Provoking Content for Spectrum Networks
Spectrum Presents: Reporter's Notebook: Renee Eng
Renee Eng: My name is Renee Eng and I am an anchor/reporter for In Focus California. In Focus California: SoCal is a studio show, and it focuses on different hot topics.
"In Focus" is a 30-minute public affairs program airing exclusively on Spectrum Networks. Each week, "In Focus" invites key policymakers and influencers to discuss a wide range of hyperlocal issues.
Renee Eng: This format allows me to really dive into issues. It gives me a chance to sit down with a politician, with a family advocate, for 10, maybe even 15 minutes, and really get to the root of issues.
Renee Eng (on-air): "And about how long will someone stay in a shelter where you guys will need to take care of them?"
Speaker 2 (on-air): "We'll keep the shelter open as long as we're needed."
Renee Eng: Being a Californian means being able to live in a place that's very diverse. I've loved living here all my life. I also love going to visit the different communities and find out what's going on. Especially stuff that's impactful and could affect their daily lives.
"In Focus" also airs on Spectrum Networks in Albany, New York; Florida; Kentucky; North Carolina; Texas; Ohio; New York City
Renee Eng: My typical day begins around nine. If I don't have a shoot I come into the office, meet with the other team members. I will also take a look at footage that's been shot recently. On days that we do have shoots we'll do a couple interviews, make sure we do B roll, and then get all the footage uploaded.
Renee Eng (on-air): "Even the cost of fighting the fire is astronomical."
Renee Eng: Every day something either needs to be shot or turned in or written. What really makes the difference is it's the people that you're working with, at the end of the day.
Renee Eng (on-air): "We'll see you next week here on In Focus California. Bye for now."

Ashleigh Correa: So, an operator monitors the network. We make sure that everything that is coming from the studio from outside with transmission is on air and it looks good.
Eric Polansky: An associate producer helps out in writing scripts and creating segments for the show. We have our show meeting first off, kind of throw ideas off of each other, see what the storylines are for the day.
Eric Polansky (in meeting): "We're winning games now. We have a pitching staff that can do it."
Eric Polansky: And then, we manage segment by segment who's going to do what, who's going to edit, who's going to write.
B-roll: supplemental footage used to help tell a story
In-bumps: short video clips that follow an ad break
Kareem Arnold: My job entails cutting B-roll, then in-bumps to make the show more interesting. Sometimes they need us on set. It's a great experience.
Eric Polansky: It's exciting to see it on live air and know that thousands of people are watching this and hopefully enjoying it.
Ashleigh Correa: When it comes to showtime, everyone puts on their game faces and we go at it.
