What you can expect in this role
As a Spectrum Intern, you’ll be essential to two teams — your respective department and your Intern peer group. Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You’ll spend the other 20% on professional development sessions and networking activities, including the Kickoff Conference on June 1, webinars, community service, cross-functional project, and final presentations.

Internship responsibilities may include
Overview: Working closely with the Project Manager - Assist in managing project plans, reporting of data, developing project documents, analyzing/creating/delivering project data - for the Resi Sales Operations & SMB Direct Sales Operations teams

Job Duties:
  • Review Project Plans with Sr Project Manager - follow-up and report on tasks to be completed by resources assigned
  • With guidance from Sr. Project Manager - Enter Project Risks/Issues/Lessons Learned into proper documentation
  • Support creating meeting agenda and taking/distributing meeting minutes for scheduled project meetings
  • Assist in scheduling and attending meetings taking meeting minutes (reviewing with Sr. Project Manager)
  • Work with Sr. Project Manager to create/update requested documentation for projects identified
  • Partner with other leads of departments for initiatives related to RealTime, Salesforce, Commissions, Buyflow, Reporting/Analytics and Sales Enablement &Training
  • Fulfill ad hoc requests, as needed, in support of project initiatives
  • Enter documents into SharePoint
  • Update projects and/or create projects/task lists in SmartSheet or in Orion for SMB Direct.

Here’s what it takes to get started

Required qualifications
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University completing a Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree
  • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program
  • Ability to travel locally to Spectrum Intern development events and activities throughout the program
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship

Preferred qualifications
  • Knowledge or completion of college course(s) in Project Management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well with others and
  • Excellent PC skills including high proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Smartsheets experience is helpful
