JOB SUMMARY Reporting to the Vice President, HR Communications the individual who fills this role will find creative and innovative ways to develop, write and deliver marketing and communication strategies to help employees understand and appreciate the benefit, compensation and other HR programs that Charter provides. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES As part of the HR Communications team, develop and execute communication strategies leveraging multiple channels (email, intranet and video)
Build and cultivate internal relationships and partnerships at all levels of the organization and across business units
Write and develop content as needed, responding to feedback from key stakeholders, effectively manage voice and tone, ensuring content is easy to understand and content is grammatically correct
Demonstrate capability to learn and use internal and external content management systems and tools used for developing online content and the email system used for internal messages Partner with external vendors in support of HR communication activities
Manage cross-functional communication projects in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines
Develop communication strategies and tracking metrics
Perform other duties as assigned to support HR communications programs, campaigns, and initiatives
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Skills / Abilities and Knowledge Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to analyze and interpret data related to complex concepts and summarize them into clear and concise content Demonstrated project management and process improvement skills Ability to own and support content development, design, review, and approval for communications initiatives Expert level skill in MS Office package (MS Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Excel) Strong organizational skills and comfort functioning as an individual contributor, as well as leading project teams Self-motivated and able to grasp new concepts quickly Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects and tasks Integrity, sound judgment, and out-of-the-box thinking are a must with the passion to add value through strong networks and collaboration with all colleagues
Education Bachelor's degree in related field (Journalism, Communication, Marketing, Public Relations) is required
Related Work Experience 5-7 years in HR Communications, Employee Communications or Internal communications
WORKING CONDITIONS Office environment Travel as required
