Senior Business Planning Analyst

JOB SUMMARY
This is a senior level position that is responsible for coordinating and monitoring budgets, re-forecasting, and complex analysis of operating expenses. Develops, interprets and implements financial concepts for financial planning and control. Performs analysis to determine present and future financial performance. This role requires thorough understanding of financial principals and for all aspects of developing, monitoring and maintaining the macro level long range workload forecast, hiring plans and budget preparations.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and review complex reports & other analysis as required for achieving financial objectives
Perform analysis of data trends on operational budget spend to enable team to meet Key Performance Indicators
Analyze and recommend objective inputs into the workforce models.
Build and deploy financial models to forecast results
Utilize analysis to identify cost savings opportunities
Create operating expense reforecast
Coordinate operating expense variance analysis and reporting
Perform monthly review of financial statements and identify trends
Analyze, educate, and recommend changes to accounting operations policies and procedures
Drive process improvements and implement best practices around forecasting, budgeting and management reporting; as well as automate, where applicable
Partner with functional leaders to identify and drive cost savings across the business
Perform other duties as requested


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a collaborative and dynamic team environment
  • Understand workforce management concepts and variables impacting workload and forecasts
  • Ability to navigate and use multidimensional database platforms such as Oracle’s Essbase
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data
  • Ability to quickly identify business problems/opportunities
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
  • Knowledge of software applications such as Word, Excel, etc.
  • Knowledge of Advanced Accounting theory and procedures
  • Knowledge of Operating and Capital Financial Statements

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field or equivalent experience

Related Work Experience
5 + Years - Business planning/Financial analysis Workforce Management or related experience
