Senior Manager, Finance

This position is responsible for supporting the operational and financial planning and analysis needs of Charter’s complex $12B video programming budget. Analyzes video programming expense as well as customer and financial metrics which support executive reporting, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis and deal negotiations. Responsible for managing the successful development and execution of data-driven financial reporting and data analysis.

Manage budget/forecast/long-range planning functions, develop models, drive reporting and analysis of $12B in yearly video programming spend

Responsible for the implementation, testing and maintenance of the Planning software that houses the annual budget, including version upgrades and periodic defect triage

Act as key member of Finance team that creates and publishes monthly financial reporting summaries vs budget/forecast for CFO and other members of executive leadership team

Act as cross-functional laison to multiple vertical business units, providing business support for video cost and margin analyses

Provide oversight of complex data management, including reviewing, analyzing; providing solutions and visibility of this data to department leadership

Manage Programming Assurance function through coordination with Accounting and Operations teams to ensure compliance with contractual payment obligations

Accountable for the execution of departmental processes and methodologies.

Ensure complete analysis and understanding of interdependencies, business risks, risk mitigates that could impact or be impacted by the delivery of proof of concepts, new products, services, processes and/or support technologies

Ensure all defined business rules/policies are documented, implemented as designed

Responsible for directing analysis to include analyzing costs and metrics

Knowledge of reporting software (e.g., MicroStrategy) preferred
Superb knowledge of software applications such as Word, Excel, etc.
Knowledge of telecommunications industry preferred

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field

Related Work Experience
7+ years of Accounting/Finance experience
3+ years of Management experience
