As the Senior Manager of Marketing Research, you lead internal teams, external research consultants and vendors to deliver against a highly strategic set of research objectives. You accelerate sales growth through in-depth marketing research that enhances multiple functions across the organization. You are passionate about working proactively across the company to identify, champion and act on research and information needs. You excel at extensive research design, primary and secondary reporting and research project management.

You achieve company growth by recruiting, hiring and training members of the marketing research team whose views align line with company objectives. You maximize the department by onboarding new team members and serving as a resource for other team members. You direct projects in an office environment and travel as needed to meet company objectives. You report to the Director of Marketing Research for goals, guidance and assistance.

What you will do:
  • Encourage company-wide excellence and growth through active and consistent support of all efforts to simplify and enhance the client experience.
  • Accelerate sales growth by leading the development of new research efforts across a variety of initiatives.
  • Construct detailed research to assist internal clients make better informed business decisions.
  • Lead multiple primary research projects to discover critical marketing data insights, including advertising testing, product usability and satisfaction and brand health trackers.
  • Inform key stakeholders and senior leadership by presenting research findings and recommendations.
  • Drive marketing research efforts through the effective and efficient management of the appropriate partnerships, vendors, contractors and consultants.
  • Maximize research projects by working collaboratively with multiple internal teams simultaneously.
  • Ensure fiscal success through the management of the research budget.
Required keys for success:
  • Five or more years of project management experience.
  • Seven or more years of marketing research experience.
  • Expert in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting data to make recommendations based on analysis and expertise.
  • Track record of identifying the necessary research to address a multitude of business needs.
  • History of interpreting and summarizing secondary data.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously and handling shifting priorities.
  • Strategic thinker with an eye to move the business forward.
  • Ability to maintain business and client confidentiality and honor all Spectrum Enterprise client privacy requirements.
  • Solid prioritization and organizational skills with the ability to show sound judgment and initiative to accomplish job duties.
  • Resourceful with the ability to work independently while making recommendations and decisions autonomously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Effective written and spoken English communication skills with all levels of an organization.

  • Familiar with Spectrum Enterprise products and services.
  • Knowledge of all major research methodologies, leading companies, associations, publications, industry trends and innovations.
  • Experience with Comperemedia, Kantar, Forrester and SNL platforms.
Your education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in research, marketing, business, management or a related field (required
