Spectrum Community Major Accounts Manager

The Spectrum Major Accounts Manager is under the supervision of the Sr. Director of MDU Sales, this position is responsible for the negotiation and documentation of Rights-of-Entry (ROE) and Bulk agreements with National Accounts, REITS and Military Bases throughout the Spectrum Enterprise. Additionally, the Major Accounts Manager is responsible for preparation and approval of ROI's, proposals and contracts for compliance with Spectrum guidelines, and the management of all MDU account relationships including responding to competitive threats and problem solving for at-risk complexes.

Actively and consistently support al efforts to simplify and enhance customer experience.
Research, develop, and implement market strategies to identify all New and Existing MDU projects to retain and acquire REIT/Military project business.
Develop and maintain organized data bases of national and strategic MDU accounts.
Conduct due diligence, research and business cases development for assigned win back and acquisitions of MDU properties as assigned.
Negotiate competitive service agreements based on established strategic, financial, legal and operational criteria (i.e. new-build, new construction, Win Backs, existing properties, after-the-fact line extension, bulk-billing, etc.).
Prepare ROI's for approval prior to proposals being submitted to prospective properties.
Prepare proposals and contracts in accordance with company guidelines.
Identify opportunities through creating appropriate strategies to gain both market share with existing clients and converting business to Spectrum Communications from competitive accounts.
Coordinate and manage sales projects with other departments such as; Marketing, Public Affairs, Government Relations, Customer Care, Finance, Operations, and Construction-Engineering Departments.
Respond to competitive threats, disputes to negotiate solutions to benefit Spectrum’s long term interests and minimize competitive impact to Spectrum.
Manage and monitor functions relative to staff including selection, training, development, performance evaluation, discipline, termination and salary/status change recommendations.
Provide weekly status reports to Sales Management as required.
Create relationships with competitive accounts to capitalize on new opportunities as they materialize.
Provide support as necessary to ensure that contract administration function is being maintained.
Work with leadership to assure Bulk customers rates are accurately maintained, including processing of rate increase notification.
Attend National industry association functions, including appropriate trade show participation.
Provide national presentations to Industry contacts and associations promoting Spectrum solutions.

Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Working knowledge and experience with Access Laws and rules (i.e. Rights of Entry or Rights of Access), FCC requirements (i.e. Inside Wiring Rules) required industry experience includes; Cable Television, Telecommunications, Business to Business Sales, Real Estate, Apartment / Real Estate Management.
Experience with Military Bases, contracts and procurement.
Experience with Microsoft Office applications required, e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Proven track record of success in a fast-paced sales environment.
Experience with automated reporting and analysis applications preferred.
Experience with CRM software preferred.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Ability to initiate and bring closure to negotiations at an executive level is essential.
Must have good organizational and project management skills, strategic planning and problem-solving abilities.
Must feel comfortable communicating with all levels of company employees, vendors/service providers, customers and prospective customers.
Must have poise and ability to maintain professional demeanor in stressful situations.

Related Work Experience
Creating and negotiating sales contracts; 5-10 years
Certifications and/or Licenses
Preferred industry experience includes; Cable Television, Telecommunications, Business to Business Sales Real Estate, Apartment / Real Estate Management
Experience with Military Bases, contracts and procurement
Valid driver's license, satisfactory driving record within Company required standards and auto insurance.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field or equivalent experience
Office environment
Travel as required may be up to 50% of time, with primary emphasis on assigned TERRITORY.
Travel will primarily include day trips with occasional over-night travel required.
