Spectrum Sr. Business Planning Analyst

JOB SUMMARY
The Spectrum Sr. Business Planning Analyst is responsible for the Business Planning activities supporting the Spectrum Total Connect line of business within the Sales & Marketing organization. Primary focus of the position is the financial management of the revenues and direct expenses associated with the line of business. This position also lends support to the Sr. Director of Business Planning for the overall consolidation, planning, reporting and analysis of the Sales & Marketing organization.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with Spectrum Total Connect functional management and revenue management teams to build budget and forecast assumptions for both line of business revenue and direct costs including advanced business driver modeling

Track actual results and perform analysis to support Spectrum Total Connect business decisions

Ensure accuracy and integrity of all billing and invoicing of 3rd party, direct cost vendors

Reconcile 3rd party vendor costs with client revenues

Work with billing operations to rectify any client by client billing discrepancies

Work with 3rd party vendors to rectify any invoicing discrepancies

Proactively work with billings operations to ensure that billing system and associated processes meet the needs of the Spectrum Total Connect line of business including active involvement in any system/process upgrades, configurations and enhancements

Support the Sr. Director Sales & Marketing Business Planning on various tasks including,
  • Ad hoc projects in support of overall Sales & Marketing initiatives
  • Day to day activities associated with consolidation of overall Sales & Marketing planning, reporting and analysis activities
  • Management of all Sales & marketing financial data structures, reports and timelines
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Extensive understanding of billing systems, platforms, workflows and functionality
Extensive working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products
Advanced knowledge of Excel functionality
Knowledge of Hyperion Planning and Essbase
Sound understanding of financial ERP’s and data structures (i.e. Chart of accounts, depts., entities)
Financial modeling (ability to build complex financial models)
Strong organizational skills
Ability to multi task in a fast pace environment
Ability to effectively communicate/present results and issues to Sr. Management
Ability to work within a team

Education
Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or related field is required from four-year college or university

Related Work Experience
5+ years: Billing System platform experience required
5+ years: Business Planning/FP&A preferred
5+ years:Telecommunications experience preferred
