Charter Corporate Facilities
Our portfolio consists of approximately 25 million square feet and nearly 4000 properties, ranging in size, scale, complexity, and primary use. Our corporate facilities teams are responsible for any and all facilities-related activities within our four (4) corporate markets, while our regional facilities management leaders serve as strategic partners and trusted real estate service advisors to our regional business leaders and dominant tenant facility management resources.

JOB SUMMARY
The Sr. Director, Corporate Facilities will be responsible for leading shaping, and providing strategic solutions to the Corporate Facilities function in support of Charter’s overall mission and goals related to Charter’s Headquarters in Stamford. They will be responsible for developing, directing and implementing building and property maintenance and operational plans and strategies to support a holistic end-to-end occupancy experience for employees and visitors at our corporate headquarters and across a large, highly complex and diverse Corporate managed portfolio. This role serves as a trusted advisor and strategic partner that leads and supports a comprehensive service delivery practice in partnership with other Corporate Services team members. The role focuses on the day-to-day integrated facilities management practices as well as operational reliability and effectiveness of property services and building operating systems – inclusive of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety systems and more. Develops an effective leadership team and assist them with developing their direct reports to drive a high performance culture that delivers exceptional outcomes.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.

Responsible for the development, implementation and oversight of robust facilities operational strategies related to the operation and maintenance of corporate locations with the primary focus on customer experience, relevant function, reliability and cost optimization – within their market and often across multiple markets

Lead and support the implementation of a best-in-class facilities management practice that delivers an optimized and efficient property operations outcome across their market and often across multiple Corporate managed properties and markets by following established and disciplined real estate performance management principles

Responsible for developing and managing expense and capital budgets in a manner that optimizes expenditures, follows a Total Cost of Occupancy methodology and achieves expected results

Collaborate with Corporate Physical Security, Portfolio Planning, EH&S, other Corporate Services teams, Technology and other internal Charter business partners in the development and delivery of a comprehensive occupancy experience

Collaborate with Portfolio Planning and other Corporate Services leaders on complex, local and potentially multiple market portfolio optimization efforts as well as delivers comprehensive, efficient and best-in-class real estate occupancy and operational experiences and solutions

Develop positive relationships with internal leaders and external service providers with focus on delivering targeted results that improve the overall occupancy experience, operating efficiency, and site reliability

Manage, lead, train and develop internal resources in a direct and matrixed reporting relationship. Monitor team performance and productivity and provide frequent and relevant feedback toward improvement

Identify areas of team and group improvement and build, support and implement strategies to optimize the mission of a Facilities Management Center of Excellence platform

Develop, utilize and apply KPIs and performance metrics through benchmarking and best practices locally and often across multiple properties

Ensure consistency of experience, processes and tools across their managed portfolio and in balance with other Corporate managed portfolios

Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Advanced ability to lead, supervise, influence and motivate others – including those in other organizations
Advanced office business software application skills and ability to use MS Office suite to support job duties
Advanced ability to work, plan, and prioritize independently and effectively with minimal supervision
Excellent verbal, written, analytical and persuasive skills inclusive of exercising good judgement

Advanced financial acumen – proficient budget development, ROI and operational best practice analysis
Highly skilled at developing/utilizing KPIs and performance metrics through benchmarking and best practices

Certifications and/or Licenses
Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record within Company required standards
Property management designation such as RPA or CPM or equivalent desired

Education
Bachelor's degree or, relevant work experience of 12 years or more in cross functional commercial real estate disciplines
