POSITION SUMMARY

This Sr. Manager Retail Marketing is an experienced retail and mobile marketing professional who can design programs to positively impact consumer perception of the Spectrum brand while balancing the need to drive sales across multiple channels.

Emphasis is on improving consideration to develop new customer relationships, and reinforcing benefits to maximize up sell and retention. To be successful in this role you should be highly efficient, a strong solutions-based thinker and detail oriented.


You will also manage the marketing functions with new Mobile product introductions to ensure teams are informed about product information, legal disclaimers, and any contractual obligations tied to this are communicated in detail.
This position is based in Stamford CT, at Charter Communications Headquarters. A relocation package is offered.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Manage the development of quarterly brand and promotional campaigns, from concept to execution.
  • Manage multiple agency relationships for integration of programs tailored for specific retail channel needs.
  • Regularly meet with the internal Product team and OEM’s (Outside Equipment Manufacturer) to develop messaging to disperse to internal marketing teams for use in developing campaigns.
  • Manage creative assets from OEM partners and the communication of those assets to multiple marketing teams.
  • Thoroughly understand the functional aspects of our products and formulate the emotional value proposition for the consumer.
  • Deep understanding of the impact of different advertising tactics and its impact on retail store traffic and sales initiatives.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of cable and telecommunications products and services (e.g., Cable/High Speed Internet/Telephone, wireless/mobile)
  • Experience managing outside creative agencies, on time and on budget
  • Knowledge of retail sales channels including "Big Box", or related category where live customer interaction and engagement are critical to sales.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and feedback in a constructive way
  • Ability to partner effectively across both internal and external teams in the development of strategic programs
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time and to prioritize and organize effectively
  • Ability to link strategies to financial plans and effectively manage budgets
  • Must be solutions-oriented thinker with a "can do" approach; must think creatively and strategically
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
  • Ability to manage all phases of a large project from beginning to end with significant autonomy
  • Possess strong Microsoft Office skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational skills, highly efficient, effectively manage resources and prioritize tasks
  • Strong interpersonal skills
Education:
BA or BS degree from 4 year college or university required.

Related Work Experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in retail mobile category, customer engagement, signage, display, and merchandising,
  • 5+ years’ industry experience in consumer technology or related industries
  • Direct experience retail marketing program planning and execution
  • Strong agency management skills and strong inter-departmental collaboration abilities
  • Knowledge of printing and ability to map out complex print strategy
  • National brand experience, either in-house or agency work for major brands
