JOB SUMMARY
Our Digital Service and Customer Experience (DSCX) team is looking for a motivated Support Content Publisher to join our dynamic team. DSCX is responsible for enhancing the customer experience and providing the right messages at the right time to the right customer. This position will drive the execution of an interactive, digital self-service experience for Charter’s customers by testing and publishing online support content and analyzing areas for improvement in design, content and usability. This is an opportunity for an organized and creative individual to make a difference in this role as part of a collaborative team.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.


Use content management system to update, create and maintain web pages.

Publish web content and proof for accuracy, message presentation, and brand style and usage.

Ensure content is optimized for client platforms, including SEO, headline style and length, graphic sizing and legibility, photo-cropping, hyperlinking.

Ensure content is tagged with correct keywords and phrases.

Use editing software (Photoshop, Fireworks, Acrobat DC) to format, edit and optimize images and pdfs for display on customer devices.

Ensure content adheres to search and accessibility guidelines.

Work with web analyst and user design/experience team to enhance and optimize content.

Support the editorial workflow for publishing, approving and removing content from sites, and ensuring that the editorial content is displayed optimally to meet customers’ needs and the organization’s goals.

Perform other duties as requested by manager.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Proficiency with Content Management Systems (e.g. Drupal, Oracle Knowledge, AEM)
Understand basic web technologies (CSS, HTML, XML, Search)
Exceptional written communications skills
Exceptional verbal communications skills
Ability to author and edit effective customer communications
Understand best practices for web writing and design
Strong analytical approach to presenting recommendations and making decisions
Project management skills
Experience running a/b and multivariate tests
Ability to manage multiple projects while coordinating efforts across a variety of functional areas
Ability to plan, prioritize and organize effectively and work under pressure deadlines
Demonstrate ability to create compelling and professional website pages
Demonstrate ability to work with outside designers/developers
Strong knowledge of design, information flow and functionality of web sites and Internet
Excellent communication, organizational and problem solving skills, thorough attention to detail, and the capability to meet deadlines, while working both independently and as part of a team
Knowledge and experience with HTML, JavaScript, ASP, ASP.NET, ActionScript and XML, including understanding of how mocks/comps translate to code
Advanced level in image editing software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, etc.)

Education
BA/BS required or equivalent experience

Related Work Experience
5+ years of Website development/design work experience
1+ years of Telecommunications/cable industry experience preferred
