The mission of the NOC is to protect, improve and support a superior customer experience. Our NOC engineers identify network issues when they arise and escalate them to the proper fix agents. We’re driving quick and high-quality resolutions. NOC teams also ensure successful network Change Management, perform Root Cause Analysis of outages, and develop processes for standardizing work and partners with vertical teams with solutions for Continual Service Improvement. Our reporting and metrics teams provide data and analyze reports to enable support of all Network Operations.

Support the data and business analysis needs of Network Operations. Utilizes and applies understanding of business process, business operations and intermediate technical capabilities of industry standard tools to provide executive level analytical insights.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
Optimize network performance through the application of basic statistical analyses using a common set of key data points.
Provides business analysis and support for Network Operations: Generate routine and ad hoc reports along with creation and presentation of quality dashboards that provide operational visibility to the business unit(s).
Develops graphs, reports, and presentations of data results. Perform basic statistical analyses for Network Operations business unit(s).
Analyzes business partner's operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions.
Identifies, analyzes, and interprets trends or patterns in standard data sets. Present data sets and information in an understandable and compelling manner.
Performs special projects as needed and other duties as requested by supervisor.
Works on multiple projects as a project team member.
BASIC / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Management, Business Administration or related field and / or equivalent work experience.
Minimum one (1) years of experience with intermediate data query techniques and report building.
Minimum one (1) years of experience using MS Excel.
Minimum one (1) years of experience with industry-specific database systems - SQL.
Minimum one (1) years of experience creating visualizations and analysis with Tableau or similar application / tool.
For participation in this program, you should have been out the paid workforce for at least 2+ years to focus on caring for a child or other dependent.

Experience with outage reporting to the FCC
Familiarity with functions and terminology related to equipment used by Charter Network Operations (Charter Communications is known in the United States by our Spectrum Brands).
Basic understanding of CARS-Remedy ticketing
Creating visualizations within dashboards.
Provide analysis based off data visualizations.
Ability to present information in an understandable and compelling manner.
Effective organization and communication skills as well as an ability to work with aggressive timelines.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in order to communicate in a professional manner both in-person, and in writing.
Ability to learn and adapt to change.
Network Operations experience.
Six Sigma Certification.
Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.
Automate routines to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets.
Experience with reporting packages, databases and programming is a plus.
