About us
The Repair Chat Agent role is about building relationships and turning the knowledge you gain in training into customer service wins. Repair Chat Agents make a real difference to their customers and the company. You will provide chat-based support and repair services that keep people connected and informed. We’ll help you develop the skills to get comfortable in your role troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues, and walking customers through fixes you can make together. You will receive training on diagnostic tools to address advanced technical inquiries to get services running smoothly. If an issue requires extra attention, you can bring in additional internal support and field technician teams to get things back on track. Understanding the products and your customers’ sense of urgency will help you navigate your way to a satisfying customer experience.

WHAT OUR CHAT REPAIR AGENTS ENJOY MOST
- Interacting with customers through our web-based chat platform
- Effectively handling questions and concerns related to video, Internet, and phone products and services
- Addressing advanced technical inquiries using diagnostic tools to keep communications and technology services running
- Coordinating customer service escalations with local management to determine the need for a field technician visit
- Taking pride in resolving customer service inquiries, processing orders, and documenting account actions while creating best-in-class customer experiences

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Schedule: Ability to work a variety of schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Language: Ability to read, write, speak and understand English and Spanish
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience: 1+ year customer service experience; 6+ months working with computers and multiple software applications; experience in cable or telecommunications call centers
- Technical Skills: MS Office and personal computer skills
- Skills: Communication, dependability, multi-tasking, typing, customer service
- Abilities: Problem-solving, critical thinking, attention to detail, tech savvy, resilient
