CBO's mission is to deliver Spectrum's high quality internal products and the internet's most popular services with industry leading availability and reliability.

JOB SCOPE

The CSOC Programs Analyst will maintain programs for Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) enforcement, including customer security issues and response to abuse reports


DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES 

  • Enforces security policies and procedures by administering and monitoring security profiles, reviews security violation reports and investigates possible security exceptions, updates, and maintains and documents security controls.
  • Responsible for the tracking and monitoring of security programs.
  • Works with existing Splunk queries, reports, and dashboards to investigate security issues.
  • Initiates outgoing security related customer communication in response to compromised email,
  • BOTNET or DDOS activity, or third-party escalations.
  • Manipulates and uploads files for system ingestion for various abuse cases.
  • Conducts detailed research and data analysis into suspected AUP violations within Charter’s network using up to six tools.
  • Creates report summaries for executive decision-making.
  • Educates the business about security policies and consults on security issues regarding user built/managed systems.
  • Assists with executing test plans, and developing processes for any new improvement initiatives to security programs.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

BASIC / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum one (1) year of Experience as a Security Specialist or equivalent experience 
  • Minimum one (1) year of Experience in information systems environment, preferably in IT/Network Security 
  • Minimum one (1) year of Entry level certification (See NSO Certification/Training Reference Guide)

REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English language to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straight- forward, and professional manner
  • Basic ability to utilize Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and Word, with the ability to document, prepare and present documents
  • Basic ability to modify documentation of processes and procedures using tools like Confluence and MS Office Suite
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively and work in a team environment, sharing workloads and responsibilities, at times taking a lead role
  • Produce metric reports on security initiatives
  • Customer service oriented
  • Understands a sense of urgency

The base pay for this position generally is between $60,900.00 and $97,500.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
