JOB SCOPE

Responsible for conducting data analysis and maintaining scalable, robust, and accurate systems designed to support data operations, including applications, reporting, analytics, and data science. Implement utilities to assess data quality, integrity, accuracy, and completeness. Deliver thoroughly tested solutions and provide implementation plans using appropriate methods such as modeling, mining, and statistics to derive data insights.


DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES

  • Perform data analysis tasks and maintain the lifecycle of data sources at scale.
  • Examine and process raw data, utilizing various methods such as scripting, web scraping, API calls, and interacting with databases using SQL.
  • Implement processes to enhance data quality, integrity, accuracy, and completeness.
  • Develop and maintain ETL utilities, scripts, aggregate queries, and applications to facilitate data operations.
  • Collaborate with operations and automation teams to deliver effective data solutions.
  • Execute miscellaneous duties as required.

BASIC / MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or computer science
  • Minimum five (5) years of Hands-on working experience with RDBMS, SQL, scripting and coding. 
  • Minimum three (3) year of Linux/Unix/CentOS system admin experience

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficient coding/scripting skills using Python, R, and shell scripts.
  • Strong experience with SQL, Tableau, and ETL methods.
  • Exceptional background in Linux/CentOS installation and administration.
  • Exceptional knowledge in data storage selection, determining the optimal choice between file systems, relational databases, or NoSQL variants.
  • Comprehensive experience with Spark and Hadoop/Hive.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and thread tasks effectively.
  • Aptitude for learning new data techniques, methods, and concepts.
  • Willingness to learn programming languages.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency in scaling ETL processes and pipeline automation in big data context
  • Solid understanding of advanced statistics
  • Familiarity with visualization (matplotlib, plotly, ggplot) or BI tools, such as Tableau.
  • Knowledge of dashboarding libraries (dash, shiny)
  • Knowledge of data workflow/data preparation platforms such as Informatica, Pentaho, or Talend.
  • Experience with data virtualization concepts and software (Denodo, Teiid, and JBoss).
  • Understanding of best practices and IT operations for maintaining always-up, always-available services.
  • Ansible experience
  • Familiarity with Javascript.
  • Familiarity with Rest API concepts.

The base pay for this position generally is between $88,200.00 and $156,600.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
