Bring Your Child to Work Day Brings Fun to Stamford HQ

Our Stamford office looked a little different on Thursday, April 23—in the best way possible. Two hundred employees and their kids filled our headquarters for Bring Your Child to Work Day, turning a typical workday into something far more memorable.

Designed to celebrate our employees and their families, the event was more than just a visit to the office. It was a hands-on experience that gave kids a chance to discover Spectrum—who we are, what we do and how we make an impact in the communities we serve.

The day kicked off with breakfast and a warm welcome from members of our leadership team, followed by an inside look into life at Spectrum. From there, kids jumped right into a full lineup of activities hosted by teams across the business.

There was no shortage of creativity or excitement:

  • In Customer Operations, kids drew their own journeys, shared stories and learned how understanding people helps create better ideas.
  • Field Operations brought the wow factor giving children the chance to step into a bucket truck and take a peek inside a tech van, showcasing the tools our crews use every day.
  • Our Sales and Marketing teams helped attendees create their own ads and learn the art of persuasion.
  • Product & Technology gave kids a chance to explore immersive entertainment using Apple Vision Pro.
  • Spectrum News transformed children into reporters, letting them step onto a mini set and record their own on-air segments.
  • With Spectrum Reach, kids put their creativity to the test with a game of “Is it real or is it AI?”
  • Attendees also assembled care kits and learned simple, meaningful ways to give back thanks to Spectrum Community Impact.

But the real highlight of the day wasn’t just the activities—it was the connection. Parents had the opportunity to share a piece of their everyday work lives with their kids, and kids got to see firsthand the impact of what their parents do.

"Whether it’s today or this weekend, I hope you all take some time to really connect. Put the phones and tablets away and take some time to talk to each other. Life can be busy, so it's important to take a minute to remember what meaningful connection really feels like,” shared Paul Marchand, EVP, Human Resources and CHRO, with the group.
